Does anyone have any good solutions for cutting ductile iron pipe in situ. It's 600mm round and at the bottom of a 2m deep hole. Need to make 2 cuts. Bonus points of it's a cold cut.

Hello everyone . My son, Danny, was a topic of discussion back in October 2024 when he was introduced by ‘doobin’ as ‘the newest member of the Backhoe Boys club’ after purchasing the New Holland wheel digger. Danny drove from West Sussex to Mawgan Porth in Cornwall - a journey which took a total of 13 hours . V8Druid said ‘off his trolley’ and Storrsy said ‘He’s from Cornwall. Enough said’ . I personally liked the ‘What a champion’ comment from Gunners! True to form Danny continues to... Read more

What vans everyone buying these days. We've a small fleet of transits, a custom and a connect but the new transit is mighty costly nowadays. You almost get two Maxus for one transit

Consider this the forum 'lounge' with work pics! I'll start. I have a friend in forestry. He produces a LOT of chestnut post pointings. I have just a Rayburn and small log burner for heating. The pointings are the perfect size. So at £150+VAT for a grab to move them to my yard, that's some pretty cheap firewood. No manual handling until I need to take them inside the house. He tipped up, and two of us filled 18 bags in a couple of hours.

I notice Palfinger are liberating some of their equipment from the workshop. Auction list , I hope all is well with them.

Ok so they reckon we're having a general election next year (cos they ain't gonna stretch it out any more) my dilemma is I have always voted conservative as whenever labour gets in it seems to cost me a lot of money but I can't stand sunak and his buddies don't like starmer that much either tbh which doesn't give a lot of choice really all the others have virtually zero chance of getting in except perhaps reform but of a conundrum really
