Our Fleetwood developed a leak over the winter and took some water damage. The camper is still usable, but I'm sure the insurance company will total it if I turn it it. I'm just wondering how the process went and how to determine value. Ours is a fully loaded 2010, power lift and all. I think they were about 20K new and I suspect to find a comparable that hasn't leaked, is 8k. If I could get that kind of money, I'd walk away, if they low ball it, I'd patch the roof, clean the staining as... Anyone been through the insurance process?

(Check your manual for the correct specs on your trailer.) Check/inspect fire extinguisher(s) Battery fluid levels (wet-cell batteries) Tire pressure including the spare. Propane Levels. On our recent multi-state trip we stopped at the new Costco gas station in Redding, CA. While I was refuelling, and after I scanned my Aliner's hubs with an IR thermometer, a mid+ aged person in a biker-ish garb came over and asked if I would mind if he told me something. Go ahead I said. He opined about how he had not seen anyone measuring hub temperatures on a trailer in ages, and that no-one is teaching the young folks how to take care of such things properly. We were tent campers until about 5 years ago when We purchased a 1997 StarCraft Meteor. It has a really large bed on one end and no bed on the other. We have enjoyed sleeping off the ground, and the luxury of a furnace for cold mountain nights. (We camp mostly in Colorado and Wyoming). We have had lots of fun fixing it up. We have upgraded the electrical system, put 13 inch wheels on it, re-canvased it, and more. It has is a great little camper. We are retired now and after enduring... Thinking of Buying an Aliner

Cleaned and re-caulked the front of the camper Removed caulk from the fan assembly on the roof. Cleaned it. Used lap sealant to seal it. Greased the bearings. Repainted the trailer tongue and portions of the frame. Tonight, I will check and adjust tire air pressure, charge the battery, cool down the fridge, hook up to it and drive to Twin Falls Resort in W Va. Come back on Sunday. Soooo, excited !

Just got back from a great weekend at Totogatic Park near Minong WI. Weather was perfect minus some light rain Saturday morning. Even took a day trip up to Superior to check out Lake Superior. Kids loved every minute of it.

I just got this mint condition PUP, but can’t figure out how to turn the fridge on (newby). I tried the green shore power switch, but…nothing. I then tried the gas mode, but pushing the red ignitor button didn’t seem to do anything either after trying multiple knob positions. The previous owners said they never used the fridge, so no help there. I have a good flame at my stovetop, so I minimized the “air in the line excuse”. What are these two knobs for anyway? The left knob (below the red... How do you turn on a Dometic RM2193 3-way fridge?

INSTALLING the connection in the camper; NOT hooking up at the campsite After 25 years, the original city water connection was getting ugly and warped. I want to replace it. There is no way to get a wrench on the inside pipe. I was able to unscrew the old connection from the outside. Can I install the new on in the same way--just screw it to the camper hose as tight as I can? Are some brands better than others?
