Is here the place to make suggestions? i.e. Display arrival *range" and not "Bat %"

in the main display, i can toggle between battery level (%) or miles, but in the bottom of the navigation display it will only show you estimated arrival battery %. Not sure what use does "arrival battery %" has when a better info would be "how many miles left you will have at your destination" Not sure if this is the place Tesla product ppl get their ideas, but if they do - a simple, low effort improvement for your UX.

Buzzing / noises from the surroundings of the A pillar speaker / headliner (right above my left ear)

So got my MYP 2 weeks ago, and i was certain my top speaker / highest speaker (end of the A pillar, almost on the roof's corner, is bad and buzzing. but after my wife listened to it she pointed that if i press the roof trim / push the surroundings around that speaker, the buzzing stops. Did anyone ran into this before? any ideas for a possible solution? do i need to take the A pillar cover apart? remove the headliner? this buzzing is driving me crazy, esp with such a nice sound system.

Advice on FSD modes

I'm going to try FSD for the first time in my 2024 Model 3P for an upcoming road trip from SF Bay Area to SoCal. What modes do those of you experienced in FSD recommend for highway driving, and do you recommend a different mode for city streets? I normally cruise at 75-80 on the highway. Thanks for any advice!

Hanging out in left lane

i have a 2026 model Y with FSD 14.3.8. Generally, it is incredibly good. But it has an annoying tendency to unnecessarily hang out in the left lane of multi lane roads, even when faster moving cars are coming up behind. I can nudge it over by using the turn signal. Anyone else notice this?

How many Tesla owners are exotic car owners?

I did see someone in my neighborhood in Lake Forest / Baker Ranch who does own a Ferrari. In my neighborhood, a Tesla, BMW, Mercedes are typical cars you see. Most houses cost around $1m-$3m. But the thing is, even going to Newport Beach, CA, the same thing is common it's mostly Tesla or Mercedes. You're not going to see 10 Ferrari in a row even though their houses are $10m and up. But the thing is, I imagined when you go to a rich enough place, you suddenly see a bunch of Ferraris... How many Tesla owners are exotic car owners?

Windshield washer fluid

We have to fill the windshield washer fluid and find that Tesla recommends their brand. Is this the case or is there another brand that works as well?

Just joined, I have a 2023 Tesla Model Y, just joining the community.

At our son's persistent urging, we purchased a used Tesla model Y with FSD and are learning more about it every day. It was a learning curve, to be sure, but we are starting to figure it out and becoming comfortable with driving the car. We were advised that this is a good place for us to get answers to any questions we might have.

Rivian R2

How many Tesla owners are thinking about switching to the new Rivian R2 in 2026? I love my Tesla and FSD, but I'm still nervous about Elon Musk's activities outside running his many companies. RJ Schringe keeps a low profile unlike his trucks and SUVs which sit high off the ground and allow forays into the wild yonder of dirt roads and stream fords.

Another 2018 Tesla Model S owner checking in, wanted to say hi.

Two years ago, I purchased the Autopilot package, which cost me $6,000, including the "Summon" feature. After two years, it turned out that some of these functions—such as Summon and computer connectivity—are no longer usable. I was informed by the service center that I would have to pay over $1,000 to upgrade to the AI 3 computer. I find it very unfair to be asked for an additional payment when Tesla has already collected $6,000 and the system is no longer functioning as intended.

Before you buy a used Tesla, consider a new Polestar 4

Let me start by saying I love my Model Y. But I bought it when there was a $7500 tax credit and no NJ sales tax. Things change. A relative just bought a new Polestar 4 and got $25,000 off the price. Why? It's being discontinued in this country BUT they will be serviced at Volvo dealers and they will still be made--just not sold here. You can read the article in the NYT here: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/08/31/business/polestar-discounts-ev-china.html Or search "A... Before you buy a used Tesla, consider a new Polestar 4

No distinct fan control

I can't figure out how to control the fan independently of the temperature. If I want the fan to blow hard but want the temp to be 70 degrees, the fan speed control has no effect if the car is near 70 degrees already. The fan speed seems to be a function of the difference in the cabin temp and the desired temp, not the fan speed control. Conversely, if I see the windshield is going to fog up in the next few minutes, I'd like to turn on the defroster before it's needed without blasting the... No distinct fan control
