Barbell Pullover: 75 x 8 90 x 8 105 x 4 Great lift, just too much trouble. Funny how I always "discover" this again and again... I just stopped the set because my neck has been sore for like a year now and these occasionally feel pretty uncomfortable. I want to say it started when I lifted every day for a month or two, and also wanna say it was when I started military pressing which did a number on the muscles of my mid back. Not sure why that fatigue would persist for months on end, but it's a weird fatigue in my scalenes. I maybe have made it worse with the pullovers since those can involve a lot of neck tension depending on how you do them. 1-Arm DB OHP: 30 x 5 L/R 40 x 5 L/R 42 x 3 L/R 42 x 2 L/R These felt bad and awkward. Going to have to reset these and go lighter. Maybe 10s but we'll see. Front Squat: 135 x 5 155 x 5 185 x 3 185 x 2 Right QL hurt pretty bad on these. Really need to solve this... Another thing that's hung around (to some degree) for so long, I forget when it started. EZ-Bar Curl: 60 x 12 + 5 + 3* Sloppy af because that's about how much I cared. Pull-Up: BW x 3 BW x 2 About the only positive from this session was that my lower traps were on during these pull-ups and my left side cooperated, so the pullovers did help in that regard. Whole session felt pretty bad.

Newton stole the qualitative work of Hooke. In your example the mathematicians stole the qualitative work of Staal. Right? I think the more likely priority dispute would've been between Frame-Robinson and Thrall. In actuality, the three of them published the result together. Staal was cited but not an author. Without getting into needless detail, Staal re-expressed an old formula in a correct but messy way. FRT found a remarkable simplification. So I wouldn't say anything was stolen. My bad for bringing that up in a conversation about stolen work; I meant it more as an example of near-simultaneous independent discovery. The Staal connection was an unintentional red herring. Credit is given to the ones that did the quantitative work. Which is why Einstein was freaking the fuck out. It was his genius that qualitatively saw gravity as space-time curvature. He even postulated the mathematical theorems but could not resolve them. Just like Hooke. And some mathematician was going to get credit because Einstein did not have a grasp on non-Euclidean geometry. I somehow didn't know that Hilbert (hardly "some mathematician" ) was working on general relativity right as Einstein was trying to finish it up. Interesting stuff. Here is another perspective on this issue: The AI did the quantitative work for both OpenAI and the mathematicians claiming they were 'stolen' from. OpenAI just had access to a better AI. The work was based on OTHER people's qualitative work that they themselves coul
Are LSU the new Dodgers lul, signing everyone + NFL rejects lmao? (where'd you end up watching the game, and do we believe?) At home, which was good because weight loss thing. I have a new understanding of what x amount of calories actually looks like and I’m horrified by my average football-at-a-bar meal, and at myself. As for whether I believe, you hear Kiffin’s halftime rant, up 31-3? Yeah I might. Did DC 2-3 times a year for over a decade, and without the stretch found I had to bump weight every four weeks to still keep getting DOMS, six weeks with stretch, but found over time 2 RIR + six count pause on the final rep, did the same thing (vibe is that the stretch/pause allows you to maintain full ROM for full growth, whereas without you end up getting stiffer and losing ROM over time, thus gains, unless you added more weight to force things into position again. "Same thing" because I think they both work on isometric stress relaxation, where once you hit thirty secs on a loaded stretch, muscle starts to tire, shifting load onto the tendons for strengthening etc, with the pause happening faster because muscle's already tired, vs. DC's standalone set of 60-90 secs, which ended up being more ligament sprain than anything) … The biggest/best looking dudes in my gym are always the you might out lift me, but I'll out rep you types, with close second being the isometric/always extend the final rep types, so TB deads + farmers, chins + hold squeeze at top, bench + hold pause at bo
I still think they're pretty cool The lefty meany bullies are referring to these dumpster-inspired works of art as "cuck trucks" or "wankpanzers." Not nice. Buy me one I'll consider it as soon as my DOGE dividend check arrives. Surely you’ve make a killing on MuskShorts??

I just muscled it up. That bodes well. Dude helped me break down the bar for that drop set to make it as swift as possible. Good times. h/t @hector
Remember like three weeks ago when I casually squatted three plates and was gonna run it up? That went to shit quickly. The movement just has not felt good since (meanwhile, deadlifts kinda have, which is weird). You will take off right where you left once you add some calories back in. And Ive always noticed DL detrains last for me anyway May you be a prophet, my friend.

Maybe a shot in the dark, but I got to thinking after my elbow flared up from the grip work a few days back... It seems like it not just the closing of the hands that makes it worse. It seems more so to be the flexion of the wrist inward (if I were standing with arms hanging to my side). So maybe the thing to do is work the opposite muscles - extending outward. So yesterday I did reverse wrist curls and they felt good - no discomfort at all. And again today did the same basic movement with a wrist roller. Going to spam these multiple times per week for a while and see what (if anything) that does for my elbows. And I'm not attributing it to this work, but my elbow actually has been feeling much better the last two days (even before I did the wrist curls yesterday). Had no pain at all doing pressing work today. So that's a gppd sign. Paging @broseph .
Legit looked like you could have curled it.
Calf nonsense: On a whim I tried donkey calf raises with the weight belt. Didn't really work. And if I'm gonna do calves, I'm gonna do them DC-style, and I really don't have time for that in the morning. Even if I've never gained a single centimeter of calf thickness in my training life, it seems dumb/imbalanced that it's the only leg muscle I'm not training, so I gotta figure something out. For your morning rambling. I gave up on DC calf training almost instantly. Nothing ever has more struck me as ain’t nobody got time for this. I don’t even care if it works.
Congrats on the meet Houzi! An excellent showing!
