Last week I had a sudden urge for a good old, classic, grilled cheese sandwich....the kind Mom used to make way back when. Not a celebrity cheffed up foo-foo grill cheese sandwich with fancy cheese and artisan bread swimming in loads of butter. Just a Plain Jane GCS. So while grocery shopping I grabbed a couple packages of Kraft Singles...both yellow and white...(wanted to see if there was any difference in taste) and a short loaf of Mrs Baird's plain white bread. Matt Williamson just posted this interview with record store owner and archivist; Kenn Fox. Maybe a bit dry compared to lots of YouTube content these days, even other videos on Matt's channel where he is usually dishing a deep dive into a bands' history. In this one he is on location in Watertown Wisconsin, so it's a field recording. But it's worth watching for a few notes. One of them being the stores' connection to Paramount Records, a very old label. Also the fact that vinyl... Record Store Culture

Unbelievable! The collateral damage on the ground is unbelievable. A cargo MD-11, fueled for a trip to Hawaii crashed on takeoff from Louisville, KY. Lots of fuel to burn. This one looks like an uncontained engine failure, so it's unlikely to be a problem with the airframe. This type has either the GE CF6 or the P&W 4000 series engine, both of which are proven designs with long service histories, but even good engine types occasionally fail. So in another thread I mentioned she told me you can get another guitar. And she meant it so pre-approval is completed although at the time I will probably still be headed towards the dog house. That said I am not ready yet. Any free cash goes to my epic Quonset build kitchen rebuild tractor repairs etc. some projects to finish. That however doesn’t mean I can not put a plan together now. My normal purchase process can take months to years in my decision making process. I can however... Wife’s mistake or not

This is currently for sale at Guitar Center. As usual they give very little information about their used/vintage stuff... in this case they don't even mention the unusual color finish on this Convertible. Is this a Jaguar Tan example?? It's from the #233xx batch (1957), which is eventful for several reasons. If this is a legit factory finish it is the 4th different color found on Convertibles from this group. The show premiered on Monday evening, September 12th 1966. It aired for 2 seasons on NBC, using Screen Gems studios for filming all episodes. Each episode cost $75,000 to produce. The individual members of The Monkees were paid $400 a week. According to Wikipedia, many of the same sets and props from The Three Stooges shorts made by the studio were used on The Monkees .
