Two days and we launch out on what I think will be our best road trip yet. Here's what I think will be a rough approximation of the general route. We're estimating 15 states. We plan to see family in TX, AZ, CA, and IA along with Saguaro, Death Valley, Sequoia, Olympic, Mt. Rainier, Glacier, Yellowstone, and Mt. Rushmore national parks and memorial. And my wife is as nuts about quilting as I am about this car, so she has demanded at least four quilting stores along the way. I'll be off... Diagonally, catty-cornered, oblique ... ROAD TRIP!!!

Hi everyone, Sorry for my English, I’m looking for some advice or similar experiences regarding a dispute I’m currently having with a specialized EV repair shop (Revolte) in France. I dropped off my Hyundai Ioniq 28kWh for a major repair: replacement of the electric motor and reduction gear bearings . The total quote was €4,200 . The car was perfectly functional regarding charging, i never experienced any malfunctions regarding this point. During... Dispute with Repair Shop: Charging Port Failure after Motor Replacement (Ioniq 28kWh)
Hey All, I had the actuator issue not long ago, pin was not locking preventing me from fast charging. I purchased a replacement actuator from Hyundai, which I believed was a newer version that doesn't have this known issue. I replaced it myself as it was a 5 week wait atleast for the dealership. Tested Fast Charge successfully and went on a road trip, 0 issues. Fast forward 3 months later, I went to go on a road trip this week and got 1.5 hours in, stopped to charge, and zippo. Dash... DC Fast Charging Issues.. Again
When I moved into my current house about 20 years ago, I swapped out the electric stove for a gas one, meaning I have a hefty 220V outlet literally on the other side of the wall from the garage that is sitting idle. I have a 2027 Ioniq on-order (2-3 months ETA), and am contemplating charger installation. The way I see it, I have two options, each with their own pluses minuses: - Have an electrician come in and install a box on the garage wall, move the wires, and blank the old outlet... Re-use Stove Circuit, or use EV Charger Prep Rebate for a new one?
Trying to research new aftermarket 20" wheels, maybe even 19". But for 20", aftermarket wheel offsets (without customization) seem to be way too aggressive. I measured my 20" tires (not wheels) to fender, and the front has about 3-4mm available to go out before poking out too much, and the rear had about 7-8mm. Please post your aftermarket wheel setups and tire/wheel size. 17" or 18" wheels also welcome! 19": Tire 235/55R19 Wheel 7.5Jx19 ET49.5 [ATTACH type="full"... Aftermarket Wheels
There are lots of Tesla chargers around me. The charge point chargers are everywhere...but they are slow and to me the slow chargers are worthless really. I only use them when I go to the Warriors game in their garage. I don't understand why there are so many slow chargers. There is one fast charger within a ten mile radius near me which is shocking since my area (SF Bay Area) has a plethora of EVs. I did read that in 2026 Chargepoint plans on adding 600 kW (kilowatt) charging stations... Chargepoint Charging Stations
How do i turn this off? Ionic 6 2023.
Today I got this warning "battery coolant low", i visually checked and the liquid is way bellow the MIN line. My problem is that I need the car on monday morning for a long trip (100 miles) and all the shops are closed. Can I top up the liquid myself? I am trying to see if there is any obvious leak but apparently nothing is visibly dripping...
Anyone Knows how to charge the Battery on a IoniqHybrid 2018?
When I connect my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Premium SE with my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra via Bluetooth then I can see recent calls, messages but I am unble to download contacts in infotainment system. I took help from Google but nothing worked.
So i woke up Tuesday morning to find my car was gone, completely vanished from outside my front door and the bluelink had been disabled. I must admit i never kept my keys in any sort of cage but being they were on the other side of the house and upstairs i assumed they would be safe. I have been reading about the gameboy device, is that a likely senario ? I really loved that car but scared now to replace it with another. LR20 NDO if any should happen upon it.
My 2026 Hyundai ioniq 5 SEL RWD came standard with a Model No. 91996-XAAGO EVSE and is plugged into a 14-30, 30 amp outlet through an adapter. The 230 watt pigtail that came with it is designed for a 14-50 outlet so an adapter is necessary to use it with a 14-30 outlet. I'm unable to find any instructions for it so I was flying blind. The EVSE shows 16 on its display and internet searching claimed this was factory set and could not be changed. A little experimentation proved this is not the...
