Looking at my fog light buttons, I have the rear but not the front. Did some 2011 9-3's come factory this way w/o front fog lights?

Hey gang. This isn't super instructional, but I'd like to drop some photos of a massive two-part job I had to do in order to get this car running again. For some backstory — last spring, I was driving home real late one night and long distance. About 10 minutes away from home, I spaced out and realized I needed to stop for fuel. The car stalled, and I had just enough momentum to roll right into a station. When she stalled, I wasn't 100% clear on what happened and I didn't notice it... 09 2.8 XWD engine swap
2009 9-3 SportCombi 2.0T The WIS is a little confusing in the total qty for oil in the system, Id like to clear it up once and for all. I live in Florida, this is a high milage car, the A/C must work for years with no trouble, so I'm starting over with new everything. According to the chart.... New compressor = 70ml ( I have drained the new compressor of the shipping oil. ) New condenser = 30ml New evaporator = 30 ml New receiver = 30ml New expansion valve = 15ml Clean and flushed... PAG 46 A/C oil quantity with overhauled system
Hi all, I’m trying to diagnose a major problem on a 2008 Saab 9-3 biopower with the B207 engine. Previously, I had experienced a slight shudder and slight loss of power when climbing steep hills under high revs and load. The car would return to normal when i lifted my foot off the throttle. Recently, while climbing a steep hill, the problem became much worse. The engine suddenly started shuddering badly regardless of how much throttle, lost almost all power and produced lots of white from... 2008 Saab 9-3 severe misfire, white smoke, fuel in cylinder 3, now crank-no-start
I've got a 2005 9-3 Linear with ACC, and one a cold morning a couple weeks ago, I noticed the heater fan was not working. I found a badly burned plug with a corroded off wire and a melted resistor. Seems like the crimp connectors for the harness are unavailable at eSaabParts (12789967) but I found a nearly identical (possibly 100% identical) terminal in a friend's collection of stuff from a long since closed GM garage. I ordered a new resistor, re-crimped a connector and was back in... Blower Fan Troubles
Blower motor hasn’t been working for a while…finally got around to tearing it out of my 04 9-3. Found that the big clip on it was completely burnt on the one prong. Anyone know how/why this happened? Is the fix just replacing the blower motor and the harness. It’s about to be winter and I need heat and defrost ASAP.
I have purchased part number 55590953 to replace my egr cooler, there is an extra tab/mounting bracket on this, would it be ok to cut the tab off this or is the part completely different?
For those of you with higher mileage (40K+) 2.8T engines, I just want to get your assessment of possible heat related issues in these engines. The coolant expansion tank is the obvious issue that has hopefully been solved with the latest tank mod, but what other issues have you come across. Here are some of my observations that may or may not be related to the excessive heat of the engine. - Replaced all 3 windshield washer nozzles due to cracks at roughly the 32K mile mark. - Replaced... 2.8T Heat related issues
Hi All, It's now time for me to move on after 9 years with my Saab... I've had lots of fun and some interesting puzzles to solve in those years. Helped by you guys all of the way. The Saab has gone and I'm now the owner of a convertable Audi. Fingers crossed we have as much fun with it as we did with the Saab. Therefore my Tech2 and the PC is up for sale on eBay if anyone is interested. I will also be listing my eSid3 on the weekend. Have a good one all. And yes I have seen a Saab... Time to move on
Hi everyone! I have bought a Saab 9-3 aero 2.8t V6 sedan last week. I am enjoying the drive so far. I love the amount of torque as it pulls from 40kph to 100kph effortlessly. The car has done 157k km and has been serviced regularly (I have the stamped service book). The ignition coils were changed maybe around 20k km earlier and the control arms have also been changed. All said and done (apart from few cosmetic bits like a little rust mentioned below) the car looks in good nick. This is my... My new 2006 Saab 9-3 2.8t aero: intro and questions
I have an 09 Saab 9-3 I am replacing the rear subframe on. I need to get new control arms, the lower rear with code 24417090 is quite difficult to find for some reason, despite the availability of some of the other control arms. I am wondering if anyone knows if 22632794 would work, which is used on some of similar GM vehicles. I can't seem to get a clear answer.
Hi all - I know this topic has been written about extensively...I've snaked my front and rear sunroof drains from the top down, but the rear drain still seems to be clogged. I suspect the clog may be where the rear drain lines exit the car. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to locate them. I've read most of the articles and saw some pics (couldn't find a good one). Does anyone have a clear pic or a description of where exactly they are located? Any help would be welcome.
