It’s the company’s first 2nm processor and comes with new Arm CPU and GPU designs, faster AI processing, and support for LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage. The timing is interesting for Samsung. The company has used MediaTek’s flagship chips in its high-end Galaxy Tab S series in recent years. If that continues, the Dimensity 9600 Pro could eventually find its way into the Galaxy Tab S13 and Galaxy Tab S13 Ultra in 2027. The latest Dimensity 9600 Pro packs a lot of hardware The Dimensity 9600 Pro uses a 2+3+3 CPU setup, with two Arm C2-Ultra cores reaching 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz, and three more C2-Pro cores running at up to 3.1GHz. MediaTek claims the chip delivers up to 17% higher single-core performance and 15% higher multi-core performance than the Dimensity 9500.
