675 gearing change

Im replacing my stock chain and sprockets here shortly and am wondering how much of a difference +1 to the rear sprocket will make compared to stock. is it better to just go stock if you arent going at least +2 in the rear? also how important is it to have a rubber dampener on the front sprocket as i see some bundles come with a dampener and some dont?

Cold start - never first time, always second

I recently bought my second ‘12 street triple after my first ‘08 was stolen. This particular bike has its quirks and I’m digging into them one by one - the first being the cold starts. After sitting overnight, the bike cranks well, but never starts on the first try. Without fail it’ll fire up the second time and never has an issue after that. The battery is new and tests fine, and I’ve tried priming the fuel pump multiple times before ignition to no effect. Am I missing something here... Cold start - never first time, always second

Another Underslung Rear Caliper Bracket

I thought I'd share this little project of designing my own underslung brake caliper mount for my Triumph Daytona 675. It's been really rewarding learning how to use FreeCAD to develop a part, model stress using FEM and then seeing the part 3D printed and fitted whilst I wait for fabrication. On the off chance that someone with a Triumph 675 06-12 would like this, I can email the STEP and schematic. it might fit 13+ but I'd need measurements to confirm this I hope you think this is kinda... Hello All!

I waited 11 years and finally bought my first motorcycle (2013 675) in 2018. It was love at first sight. She’s been to the track with me a couple times at the NY Safety Track in Davenport, NY, and now it’s time to ride the local tracks in SoCal for a couple years. I’ll be at Buttonwillow on 15FEB. Working on some track specific mods (e.g. kickstand removed, license plate removed, ignition switch removal) now. Next big purchase will be some Race Fairings.

Rearsets?

Hi I have a 2015 street triple, the rx version. I also have arthritic knees, I am debating investing in some adjustable rearsets. Now to the point of my post, I need to move the right foot rest down and slightly forward to take the pressure off my knee, can anyone advise if this is possible and also recommend a set TIA Garry

Dead head and cams - best way forward

Hi everyone, I'm new to Triumphs from KTM's and recently bought a 40k KMs 2013 Street triple r and was carrying out the valve clearance when I found the cams and head deeply gouged on all bearing surfaces. I haven't had any luck getting a quote for a head rebuild, but have managed to find a wrecker with a 19k km 2017 675 engine for 1750AUD. I paid 5k AUD for the bike and would be happy to carry out the engine swap myself. I'm averse to getting a used head and cams incase metal has permeated... Dead head and cams - best way forward
