I always had problems finding comfortable shoes because of my wide feet. Then I discovered Keen shoes. I bought no other footwear from then on. However the last few years something has happened to their quality. The soles delaminate within 3 months. At $130 that's too much money for 3 months of use. I tried Merrill shoes. They don't come wide enough. And my feet are killing me by end of work day. Any of you have suggestions for shoes with wide footbed that won't break the bank? Thanks.

But I'd like to set up my rig with bobber stops & slip bobbers to get near the bottom. looking at bobbers & stops at the sportshop, I am having trouble envisioning a stop slipping throught the eye of the cover, around the pickup pin and onto the spool. Then easily doing all that in reverse (less the pickup pin).
When the Dove's aren't flying I start to appreciate my surroundings, just a few pictures from yesterday.
Well, down here in the Antipodes, we are copping it with Influenza A. Hospitals overloaded with People having to wait in ambulances or cars until Staff can get to them. Department of Health guidelines stipulate Patients should be seen within 9 hours.. The latest Flu A jab does not give People protection. Even Birds are having large die offs in South Australia. Anyhow, something for you "Preppers" in Northern Hemisphere to consider. What with War in Central Europe and wild fire sweeping... Read more
