I want to start a Tanganyika Cichlid shop in Belgium

Bringing Lake Tanganyika to Belgium 🇧🇪🐠 From the intricate shell-dwellers ( Neolamprologus multifasciatus ) to the iconic Frontosa and vibrant Tropheus colonies—the raw beauty of Lake Tanganyika has always captivated cichlid keepers. I am in the process of launching a dedicated Tanganyika Cichlid specialty shop right here in Belgium, focused on healthy, ethically sourced wild-caught and high-grade tank-bred specimens, species-specific care, and rockscape... Drying my Substrate out in the Sun.

I purchased 200lbs of Black Flourite Clay Substrate. Not going to grow any plants in a CA tank. Just wanted reasonably priced Black substrate. Not to fine sand. Gravel Drying it out on my Balcony. A benefit of it being used in just a planted tank is it was been washed previously. Less dust. Not sure if i need to sterilize it. Maybe put it into my new tank and do many water changes.

filtration for large aquariums

In approx 2 years i will be moving and will be setting up a few large aquariums - the floor dimension of the largest will be 12ft x 4ft and 12ft x 5 ft. The question i'm debating is how to do the filtration. My current large aquariums use sumps but my biggest complaint (esp for the 12ft x 5ft) is i want the water to flow across the length and not front to back. This leads to an issue with tubing as i don't really want the tubing on the sides. I've debated trying to use 3/8 bulkheads on... filtration for large aquariums

Water Parameters and Water Testing

Hey guys. Was curious how often everyone tests their water for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, what your typical results are, and what test you use? If everyone can share their aquarium size, fish stocking list, filtration, do they have live plants or not, and how often they do water changes. These all affect bio load and water parameters. I do water testing every water change or every other water change. I do my water changes every week to week and a half. I use the API master freshwater test... Water Parameters and Water Testing
