Here's a scarce, high condition 2" Pocket Positive manufactured in 1940, the last year of production. I snagged it off Gunbroker a couple weeks ago, and it just arrived on my doorstep this afternoon. It nicely fills a void in my "Colts of the 1940's" collection. I still have several models left to chase after, but I'm afraid they're going to be on the rather pricey side to bring home: Camp Perry, National Match, .38 SuperMatch, Shooting Master, and Bankers Special. $$$ I have a... 2" Pocket Positive from 1940

Anyone remember if Talo (or Colt) offered the Night Cobra Spl. with wood grips and external hammer back in 2019? Much like what's being offered now? I know there was a DA version with no hammer spur and G10 grips. And most of the Cobra's back than were stainless. I wanted one of the new style with wood grips and hammer and found a used one for cheaper that dates to 2019. Just wanted to make sure it was a factory config. gun? Here's what Ai says, but you guys hate Ai and tell me it's not... 2019 Colt Cobra Night Special?
What Was And How Old Were You When You Got Your Very First Colt?
Anyone know the safest way to ship a 1979 Colt Python that is Class D Engraving, 6" barrel, Royal Blue Finish, original Colt Custom Shop Leatherette Case and all paperwork, etc? I will have to insure. I was thinking about using a Allen Gun sock just for the gun to protect the finish. The finish is flawless. What are your thoughts?
I am 75 years old and have been collecting Colt revolvers for almost 55 years. I heard about Rainmakers and have been wanting to own one, but only in my dreams. Of the two that I had seen over the years, they had most of their markings buffed away, and were poorly refinished. Well, last week my dream came true. Here it is. Mechanically its very good, but some of the original Nickel finish on the frame has been lost. Nevertheless, its been fun to experience a ghost of a revolver... My dream come true - I bought a "RAINMAKER" -
Took the plunge and ordered a M1911 Service Grade from the CMP. Its a very nice pistol Just not a Colt. I ended up with this, Remington Rand slide and frame. Frame dates to 1943? Any additional insights will be greatly appreciated and TIA! Sensitive content, not recommended for those under 18 Show Content [ATTACH... I was hoping for a Colt, CMP M1911A1
About two months ago, I bought a James Rodgers Sheffield Bowie knife from this Clown. I paid a letter over $300 which seemed Too Good - and It Was! I found a Bowie Knife Collector's Forum on a Facebook platform, and provided illustrations of my knife. While Facebook is awkward to navigate, I did learn that this type of knife was sold by one "Crazy Crow for $70, One of the most common used for faking". I was told that the "James Rodgers / Royal / Cutlery / England" was then added... I CANNOT WARN YOU ENOUGH ABOUT THIS EBAY SELLER - secondhandcollectibles
Fellas, Other than this forum and gunbroker, what are some other places that list black powder weapons for sale? Thanks! Pic for fun.
Can someone recommend a grip for this that has some padding on the back strap where it bites the grove in your thumb pocket?
For revolvers been a S&W owner most of my life. My .41 mag is getting hard to find ammo and reloading supplies for. So I went on the search for a 44 Mag. I was looking at the PERFORMANCE CENTER® MODEL 629 STEALTH HUNTER, when my salesman suggested the 44 Anaconda in 8 inch. Will use mostly for targets...and I like big bore guns. My wife just loves my 8 inch .41 mag. Hopefully I made the right choice. Would love to hear any feedback on those who have this 8" monster? [ATTACH... New 44 Mag Anaconda?
Hello all ,it's been a long time . Trying to figure out what I'm gonna due with This and previous owners other Colt . Man started out a beat cop in Chicago in 1919 and retired in 1939 as a Captain ,according to his Son . I did do a CPD number trace and in fact his father was with CPD and his service pistol was registered as such . He told Me his dad was in WWl and picked up the .45 after the war which seems plausible . CPD wouldn't allow it's carry ,as they restricted officers to .38... Army 1917 .45 DA uses Moon clips ,where do I find serial #'s Year manufacturing info ?.
