2005 330ci. Any fix to this - see image attached. Or should I just remove the remaining pieces and let this one go? Let me know if there is a viable solution thought. Thank you in advance. J

Just wanted to give anyone doing any work involving removing/refitting the sump dipstick tube a heads up on a real PITA job I had getting the tube refitted with a new O-Ring. Background: I did the 50's Kid walk through job of CCV replacement involving the Inlet Manifold removal. I also replaced the Oil Filter Housing gasket as it was leaking too. The whole job went pretty well as per the YouTube vid until I got to the Dipstick Tube fitting. Problems: 1) the conical 'lead in' to the hole in... M54 Oil Dipstick Tube Issue and CCV Replacement
Hi! I’m having a strange problem with my 2003 BMW E46 320d 150hp (M47N/M47TU common rail) and I’m starting to run out of ideas. The car feels very sluggish and the throttle response is much slower than it should be. It drives and builds boost, but it struggles to rev past around 4000 rpm under load. I also have another E46 320d 150hp donor car which runs properly, so I’ve been able to compare them and swap parts. The most interesting thing I’ve found is the rail pressure response. On the... --- Persistent driveline vibration despite new driveshaft, guibo, and center bearing — E46 M3 2002 2002 E46 M3. I've been chasing a driveline vibration and I'm running out of ideas. Symptom: Vibration that intensifies as road/engine speed increases. Confirmed with rear wheels off the ground on a lift — vibration still increases with speed even with no tires/wheels involved, so tire/wheel balance is ruled out. Parts already replaced (all new): - Driveshaft (tried two... driveline vibration
Hi All! I have engaged Zero2Sixty Performance to drop a LS3 and T56 in my 2003 325Ci convertible. https://zerotosixtyperformance.com/ Nothing too insane; a LS3 and T56 pull-out with about 40k miles (with a street cam, since it's easier to do with the engine out), and a piggy-back ECU (leaving the DME in place. Tie into the stock exhaust, leave the rear subframe/diff (I'll eventually get a M3 unit, but I'll leave it alone to start out). David has someone he works with to get... 2003 325ci vert getting LS3 +T56
Good Evening, Good Morning and G'day you E-Forty-Sexy Fellas. I am posting in need of a scooch of help, I been neck deep in a no-heat issue since the start of this year. The parts-bin method has not worked, I have replaced almost every component I could see being responsible and have had minimal success. Instigation I was driving at temp on a warm morning, I had my heater running on low and all of a sudden the air just went lukewarm. I set the vehicle to ac and turned it down. Hoping it... So, as mentioned in my build thread, I finally got to changing these seals. The old ones had the rubber at the trailing vertical egde of the seal just crumbling away. The new seal is basically a plastic frame that wraps all the way around this glass - under all the trim and weatherstripping - that has the rubber edge molded to the plastic as one piece. Part numbers 51 34 8 194 767 and 51 34 8 194 768. To access... Touring Rear Door Fixed Glass Window Seal Replacement - without disturbing glue
Hi there! I’m going to share my experience regarding how important role can cavity wax play to keep our beloved BMWs rust free. A little backstory: my car is a 2000 323i with 420 000kms (260 000mi) on the odometer. Drove around 140 000kms as a daily car and done many repairs and upgrades. One of them was... My 2000 323i Wagon's IHKA has been shutting down and turning back on again constantly for the last year, and I have replaced the IHKA entirely. When the IHKA shuts down while driving, the fans cut off, and then it immediately turns back on again, and I'm looking to see if anyone has had similar issues. I already have checked the fuses, and I do have a Bluebus which has been updated to the newest firmware version as of 7/16/26. Video of IHKA at about 50 seconds, it shuts down and returns to... bluebus causing random IHKA power cycling
Hi My DISA has failed. I've seen online I can remove the flap and pin as a temp measure until my new DISA arrives. Car may run sluggish under 3500 RPM but will it damage anything? Just need to get to work when it's raining (have a triumph motorcycle). New part arrives on or about 12 September. Let me know. Cheers
I am trying to sort out a problem with my car which is being hampered by questions such as What is a normal temp range for a 330ci? What is the opening temp on a thermostat which has 97c printed on it-Is it at 97 it starts opening or fully open at 97? I cannot figure out how the fan temp sensor detects anything until the thermostat opens after a cold startup due to waterflow direction and the small bleed hole in the thermostat.
I really need some help here. I’m very new to BMW. I just picked up this 1999 328i 5 speed. The previous owner said he put a 325i auto diff in it. The guy said it just needed a drive shaft due to it being broken at the joint that mounts onto the diff. So I ordered a drive shaft that said it fit. I laid both the old and new drive shaft down next to each other and they seemed identical length. When I went to bolt the new drive shaft up it appeared to be about an inch too short on the diff side... driveshaft too short
