Need help finishing app and bringing it to market

Hi there Hulesch, The 1000$ budget works for me! Plus, last week I completed the transition into code for my company (cityflow.app) with 6000 daily users. So maybe I can help when you app skyrocket and you would need advanced features like MQTT, updates without spending hundreds/month. into workflow units.

How Can I Build a Scalable Food Delivery App Using Bubble?

senecadatabase: that would take refreshing the app at a minimum of every 5 seconds? No need to refresh. If a driver has app open and is therefore already initiating a search of all jobs whose status is pending, then 15 riders log in and each create a separate ride whose status is pending, the driver doesn’t need to refresh the app to see those 15 new ride requests, since bubble searches get updated automatically unless develop does something that breaks that like using workflow actions to filter or sets search as static. But, I do think a ride hailing app and a food delivery app are two completely different beasts…food delivery on bubble can be profitable, but I’ve never built a ride hailing app and I do imagine a ride hailing app would not be as easily monetized as a food delivery app.

New report on app monetization: The Business of Building 2026

I think we may actually agree here and are just interpreting “charging from day 1” differently. I was reading it very literally, as in actually charging the user before they’ve had a chance to properly try the product. If a free trial is included in that definition, then I completely agree with your point. Having clear pricing and a monetization model from day 1 is very different from launching a completely free beta and only figuring out how to monetize it later. That said, I don’t think the report makes this distinction very clear. When it says that 31% of apps “start charging on day 1” and mentions collecting payments from day one, my first interpretation was that an actual payment happens immediately. Maybe @emmanuel can shed some light on this: does “charging from day 1” include apps that have paid plans from the beginning but offer a free trial before the first payment, or does it specifically mean that the first payment happens on day 1?

New report on app monetization: The Business of Building 2026

rpetribu: I have to say, I was pretty surprised by the results of this report. Personally, I almost always look for apps that let me try things out before asking for my credit card or charging me anything. I had assumed the report was referring to what I had mentioned about charging from day 1, where you offer a trial? “We expect the free-beta-then-figure-out-pricing sequence to keep losing ground, and the put-a-price-on-it-and-find-out sequence to gain.” I believe this part is referring to what some builders do when they build an app and give everything away for free to get users. Then decide to start charging… when they do this, they lose a lot of users who really weren’t that interested in the app anyway. By charging from day 1 (which usually includes a trial), you get the really interested people. That’s how I read it.

Need help finishing app and bringing it to market

Hi everyone I am fairly new to bubble, with only 1.5 years experience. However, with the help of other developers, I have been able to build a nearly fully functioning fitness application, specialising in workout and diet tracking. At this point though, I am about to go back to work, and I don’t have neither the time, nor expertise, to finish what is remaining, and the launch has already been delayed a lot. I would therefore be looking for someone to finish, test and bring the app to market. The responsibilities would be: Fix any bugs with the app, including the loading speed Polish up the UX/aesthetics element of the app Test the app thoroughly Deploy the app to the App Store and google play store A basic knowledge in fitness is a requirement, as well as skills in UX design. My budget for this project would be approximately $1000. If anyone is willing to help, then shoot me a dm!

New report on app monetization: The Business of Building 2026

senecadatabase: whether it’s a 7-day, 14-day trial or whatever initially. Trials let the user get connected and then not want to give up their progress. I have to say, I was pretty surprised by the results of this report. Personally, I almost always look for apps that let me try things out before asking for my credit card or charging me anything. I think charging from day one only really works for a small percentage of products, usually well-known ones where people already know what they’re getting and how the product works. For most apps and SaaS products, I think there’s a huge advantage in letting people experience the product first and only then asking them to pay.

How Can I Build a Scalable Food Delivery App Using Bubble?

boston85719: Wouldn’t it just be cost of fetching for driver to see the requests, cost of update to request to accept and cost of individual item request for user to see request confirmed by a driver? I may not know enough about Bubble as you and others do… but if there are 10 drivers that can accept jobs, and say 50 people at any given time requesting a ride, that would take refreshing the app at a minimum of every 5 seconds? I played around with it all and couldn’t see how I could get it to be profitable. Maybe, as I said, I just don’t know how to use Bubble as well as I should.
