Astrea: Extending ZEC into the Agentic Economy

really like this framing, especially the point about privacy needing to extend past the prompt. people focus so much on “is the model private” and forget the harness. looking forward for beta.

Grant Application - Hito Hardware Wallet - Zcash Cold Signing (Orchard)

Milestone 3 - Network Integration + Production Release Milestone 3 is complete We have integrated the Hito firmware with our Android fork of Unstoppable Wallet and completed the full end-to-end Zcash hardware wallet flow: create transaction → transfer to Hito → review and sign offline on physical hardware → return signed transaction → combine with proofs → broadcast to the Zcash network We successfully tested the following transaction flows on both testnet and mainnet: Orchard → Ironwood Ironwood → Ironwood Transparent → Ironwood Ironwood → Transparent The original milestone required Orchard support. During development, the Zcash network transitioned to Ironwood, so we additionally implemented Ironwood support to keep the integration compatible with the current network. The resulting implementation includes: Hito Zcash signing firmware running on physical hardware Android Unstoppable Wallet fork with Hito hardware-wallet support Network integration through the Android wallet Offline transaction review and signing Signed transaction return and network broadcast Orchard and Ironwood support Repeatable testnet and mainnet transactions Production firmware/application builds What is not finished yet While the complete flow is operational and we have successfully tested it on mainnet, we do not consider testing and production hardening finished yet. Testing so far covered our Android Unstoppable Wallet fork, and the transaction flows. The implementation has not yet undergone an ind

Day 1: The Zcash Developers Residency Programme Begins! Today, September 1st, 2026 , marks the official arrival and induction phase of the maiden Zcash Developers Residency Programme . Contribute to the future of financial privacy with Zcash. For the next three weeks , residents will participate in technical lectures, hands-on development, team projects, mentorship, community activities and practical challenges covering areas including Zcash architecture, wallets, shielded payments, SDKs, full-stack development, privacy applications, security, testing, deployment, open-source development and entrepreneurship. The residency is also designed to be community-driven . Key sessions will be made available virtually where possible, while the wider Zcash community will have opportunities to follow the residents’ progress, participate online and vote on selected tasks, projects and outstanding achievements. Hello Community, please review the August ZecHub project report: Major Achievements DAO Proposal A175 - Zcash India — Proposal | September to December 2026 (approved) DAO Proposal A174 - Zcash Global Ambassador — Developer Education & Ecosystem Onboarding (rejected) DAO Proposal A173 - Multilingual Wiki Maintenance 18 Languages (approved) DAO Proposal A172 - Zcash East Africa Operations: From Awareness to Adoption August – October 2026 (approved) DAO Proposal A171 - ZecHub DAO Membership Application (approved) Announcement Posters made by Kroy Project Updates August was a month of many improvements across our channels and platforms. We shipped new features on the bounties platform, started a new X account for Zcash graphics, coordinated with ambassadors, spoke with new projects and we received a huge wave of updates from contributors on the Zcash Wiki site. During the past few weeks Vito researched and edited five weekly editions of Zcash Shielded News (Vol.30–34), created Zcash educational articles and handled post-production on our ZEC Bounties Tutorial. On the community side he handled community communications, Discord announcements, social content and moderation, prepared Sync meeting summaries on Substack and published the meeting recordings to Youtube. The community bridges were maintained with active participation in DAO coordination. Squirrel edited and posted the weekly Ecosystem Digest editions, hosted the ZecHub Sync Meetings in addition to a community call with Za

[Grant Proposal] ZecBit - NFT infrastructure for Zcash Shielded Assets

I read the full proposal carefully. The strongest part, in my opinion, is the clear separation between the ZecBit marketplace and the infrastructure this grant would fund. ZMD-1, the reference resolver, the deterministic key-less indexer and the shielded payment tooling could remain useful even if ZecBit itself never becomes the dominant marketplace. That is the right way to frame an ecosystem grant. From a collector’s perspective, the public catalog with private ownership is genuinely interesting. Most NFT platforms expose the entire holder graph by default. Here, collections and traits can remain publicly discoverable while ownership and transfers stay shielded. The full ZMD-1 form also creates a verifiable connection between the asset identity, manifest and content hash instead of asking users to trust whatever image a marketplace displays. I would still like clarification on a few points. How does a collection move from the minimal ZMD-1 form used for reveal mechanics to permanently finalized metadata? If adding the CID and content hash would change the asset description and therefore the asset identity, will minimal-form assets always depend on continuing issuer signatures? Is there a one-way reveal or freeze mechanism that lets collectors verify the final metadata can no longer be changed? What information can the marketplace operator correlate before ZIP 228 enables atomic settlement? Signature authentication, memo-tag matching and temporary escrow appear necessary tod
