How did you choose your dog's name? Does it have a special meaning, did it just perfectly fit their personality?

Hi all, There have been a lot of ads on my FB feed about herding balls that have grabbed my attention. Not that I would buy anything directly from an FB ad, but does anyone have any experience of this? Obviously, one might expect this to be more appropriate to a Border Collie, Aussie, etc, but would this be a good source of mental stimulation for Amber? Obviously, being a 5 month old puppy, it would probably need to wait to get one for her. Also, if anyone DOES have a positive... Herding balls for Goldens?
I meant to do this little update as we hit our 3-monthaversary together Aug. 17, but it’s just been so busy (in a good way!). But the long story short is that taking Margot has been the BEST decision, and even though it’s only been a little more than three months, I feel like I’ve had her forever and I love her so much. I will be forever grateful to Jane at Four Lakes for trusting me with this sweet soul. I discovered that the 3-3-3 rule of rescue applies even when you have a dog come from... Long overdue update!
We currently have two Goldens, ages 12 and 7, and our first Golden passed away at age 14. We have always researched and purchased our puppies from reputable breeders (in our case, all were in Texas). Our daughter/son-in-law lost their 13 yr old Golden last year and are now starting to look for a puppy. This will be a family pet - not a show or field dog. They are located in the Kansas City area but understand that they might have to travel outside of the area to find the right... Reputable Breeders in Missouri/Kansas or surrounding area?
Hey folks. Thanks in advance to all the members for sharing your knowledge and stories.
Greetings! I feel compelled to share this with folks that are looking add a Golden to their family in the northern Michigan region. I have grown up with dogs for most of my life, and consider myself a responsible dog owner. Further, I don't do anything major like purchasing a puppy from a breeder without doing considerable research. I have been looking around for reputable breeders in the area but don't have the capacity to spend $2000 on a puppy right now, which I have seen on several... Asoro's Goldens - Northern Michigan Breeder
Hello. Thanks in advance to all the members for sharing your knowledge and stories!
We are experienced Golden owners and just lost our 5th golden at 11 years to hemangiosarcoma. This is the fourth of our goldens that we've lost to that terrible disease. Several of our Goldens were retired breeder dogs, but we also had a wonderful puppy for Ambertrails Goldens in Ontario. We are currently looking for another Golden and like the field lines, but need a puppy or dog that is at a 4 out of 5 energy level or slightly lower. We currently have a 6 year old lab who is terribly... Question on Finding a Reputable Breeder of less energetic field goldens

Hello, I'm looking around San Diego for a golden retriever puppy. Has anyone had personal experiences with True2Gold? Located in Escondido, CA (Dan & Jenny Root) thank you!
I’m looking towards utility with my golden and want to purchase a good utility article bag. I’ve seen people with mesh, nice quality bags but am struggling to find many options online. People I train with have had their article bags for many years and don’t have much advice for me. I have found one option with J and J that I may go with, although it seems a little small? Maybe it would be fine. Any tips on what I should be looking for or if there’s an alternative type bag that you have found... Utility article bag
