A video version of this post is available here: Introduction MQA is a proprietary music compression solution that uses the FLAC container. It requires a license fee for manufacturers to implement it, and due to the lack of transparency from MQA, there has been relatively little conclusive information about exactly HOW it works. (Or IF it works). I was frustrated with this, and despite the fact that there is excellent testing that has been done by Archimago... Read more

V10 was a partial failure, good on paper, bad in reality (harsh highs). V20 is a little gem under 20$ - very balanced dual driver (1DD and 1BA) IEM with plenty of bass, great mids and detailed highs. V60 is still in the process of finding itself (the first batch sent... Read more

Rhapsodio is a small boutique company based in Hong Kong, headed by one man: Sammy. A craftsman not only passionate about the beauty of music, but in search of technical excellence. For the last 3 years Rhapsodio remained in relative obscurity with models as the RD3 and RTi1; having a small but loyal fanbase. With the 10 BA Solar, Rhapsodio launched their first attack on the TOTL segment, gently putting their foot in the door. But Sammy always claimed Rhapsodio’s specialty was dynamic... Read more

Atticus and Eikon Living right on the Wisconsin/Illinois border, I am fortunate to be able to attend many of the audio shows in the greater Chicago area. One of the things I look forward to with these meets is having a chance to chat with @zach915m from ZMF. It's always fun to chat about gear and check out his booth. Anyone who attends these meets will agree, Zach is one of the coolest and nicest dudes you will ever meet in this hobby. Usual talks include... Read more
http://abyssheadphones.com/abyss_diana.html Thought I'd create a proper thread for the new Abyss Diana. (General rumors and discussion are in this thread .) Things are going to get confusing, because most people refer to the Abyss AB-1266 as simply the Abyss. Now, we will have to specify which Abyss we are talking about. I suppose this was inevitable... Anyway, I will post updates here and add the most relevant info to this first post. And of course, we... Read more
