Hello all, This bag is new for 2026. I installed it on a 2016 650 with 1"bar risers. Pretty easy install and no issues with the clearance of controls. It has been on the bike around a month now. I really like the options of different add on pockets. I purchased it from the Nelson Rigg website. I contacted them earlier by email about fitment and they replied with discount code CS25... Hi everyone, I recently noticed a fairly noticeable regular ticking/mechanical sound from my Versys at idle and wanted to get some opinions from other Versys owners. The attached recording was taken very close to the engine, directly in front of the engine, so the mechanical sounds are much more prominent than they would normally be from the rider's position. The bike was warm after a ride when this recording was made and was idling normally. The sound I'm particularly asking about is... Versys 1100 engine idle sound — is this normal?
I’m fortunate to have 2. ‘25 GR Corolla ‘13 NC3 PRHT MX5 Both are proper 6-speed manuals.
I've bought a chain and sprocket set for my versys 1000. Changed back one no problem but can't get the engine sprocket off. Tried an impact gun and a long bar but hasn't budged. Any advice please.
Hi I bought my versys two years ago. Its my 1st 4 cylinder bike and I can't get over how smooth it is. I've always had trailie type bikes till now. My other two are a 1994 dr800 and 1990 honda dominator.
Lithuania, i own versys for 2 years
Who or What controls the price of oil or fuel? Before you display your profound Ignorance, watch this short video for a simple but clear factual explanation. I believe it should be required viewing for every human on earth since it affects every person on the planet.
The September Monthly Mileage Challenge is now open. Weather is turning cooler for most, let's see if that equals higher miles. What to join, simple, post a picture of your odometer at the beginning of the month and one at the end. Ending mileage will be due no later than midnight of the last day on month. If you own more than one bike then total miles on all count (only your miles count, not other rider miles), just have to submit beginning and ending readings for all bikes. We will do this... Hello everyone from VA! I just purchased a new to me 2016 Versys 1000 with 6k miles on the clock. After sport bikes, sport touring bikes and cruisers, I’m excited to start my adventure bike chapter! Thanks for having me and I’m sure I’ll be seeking the insight you’ve learned about how to make the amazing Versys even better
After my mini tour a couple of weeks ago I decided I needed to add a small top case. I looked at the soft and semi rigid tail bags and of course your standard ABS motorcycle top cases. Since the side cases can accommodate a helmet and there is a real live helmet lock (why they aren't standard on every bike is a mystery to me) I'm not worried about helmet storage. So I started looking at alternatives to your traditional cases and landed on a Harbor Freight Apache Case. No extra key to... Give SR4114 Rack w/ Harbor Freight Top Case
I had cartridge emulators fitted to my forks a couple of years ago. Definite improvement. I am running a 50:50 blend of 5-weight and 10-weight oil in them. Tomorrow I'll get a plastic syringe and a plastic tube, and suck out 300 ml of oil from each, and replace it with 10-weight oil. I'll test it and maybe adjust the screw tension on the emulator shim stacks. It's an experiment. I'll keep you posted.
