New to Maserati 2012 QP S owner

Hi everyone. I have a few minor bits to sort out (sticky buttons, remove window tint, etc), but glad to be part of the owners club. Coming from AMG, M, Porsche, etc. This is my first Maserati, and first Italian car in general. Completely different and fun experience thus far. Was after a GTS, but the S for Chicago area roads I think is best suited.

2014 Maserati GT

Hello guys, New to this form. I want to buy a 2014 GT with 36000 miles and 7 owners; the dealer is currently offering 34000 as the sticker price. After adding a bullst of coating stuff for 2000 plus all the fees. The total price is like 39000. I don't really know how to negotiate. How much do you guys think the car is really worth, and how reasonable should I offer? It's a trade-in car. I guess they got it for like 23000 because that's what KBB says about current value. The car looks... 2014 Maserati GT

The purists will hate this...

...but it's better this way. At least in my situation. Look at all of that new-found space for activities. Sounds amazing, too. So many activities.

Glove box stuck

Currently the glove box won't open even with the key. All that happens it the key turns the lock but the locking mechanism doesn't release on the inside. I don't want to pry bar it open however the repair manual assume the glove box is open as the first step in repairing or replacing it. I thought about maybe a lock smith but curious if anyone has had this issue and how the resolved it?

Front Lower Control Arm Removal

When removing the front lower control arms on a Gransport to replace worn bushings and ball joints, the rearward mounting bolt can't be removed because it won't clear the steering rack. (See attached photo.) So, I removed the steering rack mounting bolts in order to move the rack rearward a couple centimeters, but it is not enough to remove the bolt. Has anyone removed the inner tie rod from the rack to do this procedure? If so, is there a special tool that fits over the inner tie rod to... Front Lower Control Arm Removal

A couple more helpful things I've learned.

The red seat belt lights that come on at start up are for the back seat. They come on even if no one is back there. Federally mandated apparently. Probably more helpful is something I've learned passing on two lane country roads. Put the car in GT mode before passing. In Sport mode the car seems to assume, even with driver assist off, that you've lost control. Breaks are applied, transmission shifts down, and alarms sound. You have to release the gas and reapply to get control back... A couple more helpful things I've learned.

Nothing beats the sound and the feel of this beauty. Timeless design that turns heads everywhere it goes every single time. The most addictive driving experience that makes you want more and still can never get enough. A beauty of a beastly machine that makes you want to sleep to its roar on a cold start on speakers around your pillow. Everytime it's cover comes off, your heart races like a child unwrapping his presents and all you can think of is kissing it and being grateful to have it as... New Michigan Maserati owner

Hey my name is Keith, I just picked up my white Ghibli SQ4 today and have officially joined the Maserati family! Have owned BMWs and Mercedes in the past, but this is an absolute different experience. And needless to say, that exhaust note.... exquisite!! Look forward to learning more and finding some recommended mods.
