Hi, I bought this in a bit of a state. I wanted to bring it back to original rather than restore, some work to do on braclet, but overall pleased. I consciously decided not to relume, think it adds character. I also bought new pushers, correct size, as our the ones on there, but concluded they would look like Simon Cowell's teeth so left originals on. That's the best chrono second hand I could find, watchmaker was reluctant to bend the end as they apparrently were, it might be 0.5mm too... Read more

As the thread Seikos!!! nears 1,000 posts I think we should consider adding a section for Seiko. The area for other watch brands has the eta emblem on it. Seikos are highly regarded amoung most here, and I think it is time Seiko gets the recognition it deserves. For me Seiko is always between first and second place with Omega, a good 80% of my watches are Seiko. Regards- Orion Edit(2-21-2021) name changed to reflect the new Seiko sub forum!

I bought this recently, and the insert is in worse shape than what it appeared online. I knew it was bad going in, but not this bad so it’s totally on me. The watch dates to about 1982. How hard is it to find the correct insert? Other than that, the watch keeps outstanding time and I don’t mind that it has somewhere in tear on it because it’s going to be my daily watch. Has the original 1171 bracelet and 633 and links. Definitely some stretch but very comfortable! How would you guys... Read more

Hi, I am wondering if all the Navitimers 806 issued to the Iraqi Air Forces should have a serial number inscribed in the inside of the case back or not. They typically have an Iraqi air force logo on the dial and something similar inscribed in the case back, but no 806. I am showing here two examples. First one shows a serial number and the second one doesn't. Do you think the second one had the case back replaced? By replaced, I mean by other than Breitling or the Iraqi Army. Thanks... Read more
