Lee Darnbrough

I can't complain that he's gone(apart from questioning the appointment in the first place). However, that now provides a 'firebreak' for the manager for a few more matches. How many will, no doubt, depend on results and how fast the owners react if the next few games don't go our way.

I don't understand this clammer for BH. Whilst he was a good head it & kick it player - he was left for dead if an opponent had any pace.

The club have decided the poor start to the season is down to recruitment & not the manager. Let's hope they are right !!

Brady Out

Not sure they pinpointed what year though!

Tin Foyle might just end up caretaker manager at this rate

Likely notice period within the contract, just like any other normal job - let's just be grateful, he didn't manage to put some special 9 month notice clause within the contract

The Garlick love in is similarly weird to be honest, especially how people talk about him as though he is Jesus Christ personified when they only have his record to go on. See also Speedy. Game gets called off, and people blame our groundsteam and think Speedy can work miracles. It is interesting how history, legends and impressions create an aura around one person and prejudice against another.

His record at Vale /Stoke speaks volumes so overall got his just desserts .However he doesnt put the shirt on ,as once agreed deals with players who obviously the manager must choose does he not (or is he incapable of choosing himself the players he wants after all aint he the one singing the praises of no goals in 6 Waine and Faal )..after do the business. Surely you identify your targets then go after them . For example what can you do about players regressing, would it be true to say Croasdale season went downhill after missing 2 sitters at home too Stockport ,didnt the whole squads mentality change when i was holiday after a away game v Wigan where 4 clear cut chances were missed and lost too 10 men and the anger shown by travelling support changed the mindset of players on that particular day id say that was the day it all started go pear shaped the players werent the same again . G Hall was tremendous for Walsall so why aint we seeing it for Vale as he isnt breaking into the box as a 10 thsrs why hes no winger 1 quality ball a season is downright pathetic . Would it be a untruth say DEMPSEY GARRiTY/CROASDALE and G Hall all play better as a 10 so shoe horning all into the same team wont work . Just a opinion not all on Darnborough ,bad management also . Hancock next UTV

I think Brady is fairly safe now that Darnbrough has gone, assuming performances improve. Foyle to identify replacement players for the January transfer period, money available as necessary. Review at 10 game mark.

I don't get the hatred for Hancock myself, not saying he is blameless but up until January we were told he had nothing to do with the football side of the club.Moore was Carol's pick and Darnbrough was Moores. Brady is definitely a Hancock choice but most clubs sack the manager within 2 years of appointing them not many sack the CEO. How many Vale fans were calling for Colin Garlick to be sacked when Vale sacked Brown, Aspin, Askey and Clarke? Bottom line is if the owners of the club want a manager to go or stay it will be down to them(with a lot of encouragement by the fans). The CEO would be the one who sorts all the practical side of appointments and dismissals and no doubt part of either discussion but I would be surprised if they lead either outcome. No idea if Hancock is any good at his job because I've had no dealings with him apart from nodding at him once in the Chinese takeaway after a game last season. I do know Darnbrough was crap at his job and we were told that before he was appointed,by people 6 miles down the road before he signed anyone. Moore was in charge of all football things, so sacking him late may not have been down to Hancock and for all we know he could have wanted him out earlier. I thought Brady was an ok appointment at the time, with what was out there, but have seen the light and want him gone asap. I don't see what getting rid of will Hancock will achieve at this point, it will be hard enough to survive with a new manager and the dross on the pitc

Lee Darnbrough

When are we going to sack the incompetent person who signed Faal, and wanted Simpson instead of Stockley? Or the person who replaced Heneghan with Monstma?
