I already have a Unaka roof rack on, but after reading about leaks, I'm inclined to be proactive with some sealants. I don't want to take off the rack, and it was difficult to get some of the mounting brackets onto the tabs, so building things up underneath them doesn't seem like a great idea. My plan is to use Sikaflex 221 on the seams that run most of the length, and then use Dicor self-leveling sealant around the tabs and roof rack attachment points. Is there a better way to do this?

So we were driving down yet another horrible rutted forest road and suddenly the right front brake started squealing like crazy. Hi, This is a video from a couple that had a fire in their LiFePo4 batteries. Quite a bit of detail on the fire department response and precautions they had taken and additional precautions they plan to take. Li Battery Fire Video... Its not clear to me (or them) what caused the fire. They think it might have been the BMS. But, I suppose it could have been a cell failure, bad connection, overload, ... Or?? An interesting thing... I am camping for 14 days at the Fair, 100% self contained. Two biggest users are ecoflow wave 2 heat pump (used for about four hours each night on eco mode) and a 1.5 gallon water heater (one load of hot water each day). I have a max air fan i leave on low during the day. I charge my cell phone nightly and use to small fans, water supply pump, and lighting. I have my efficient compressor fridge running per its internal thermostat. I make rare use of microwave. Days are mostly sunny. I... 400w solar barely enough

Is there any way to prevent the cargo lights from timing themselves to shut off when in the manual "on" position? Mine will shut off after about 15 min regardless of anything else, which is super annoying. They will not relight unless all the doors are first closed. Last night I was unloading a milling machine down ramp and the bloody things shut off, leaving me balancing an 800 pound lump halfway down a ramp in the dark. Since there was a ramp up to the back of the van I couldn't close... Cargo light timing

It comes with a single cargo light that looks like this: The stock cargo light has a 3 position switch, so I thought these couple of threads might be helpful: My new cargo area LED lights Today I installed some LED light strips in the cargo area of my 2017 2500, wired to the dome light near the side door so they come on and turn off with the dome lights. Have any of you hooked those circuits up to new lights mounted somewhere so that you have lights when the doors open?
