Changing Out the Wash Media

TIL....I am not cycling my wheel mitts as often as I should. My main wheel mitts is the AF sleeve and TRC finger wheel mitt. To me, wheels are pretty dirty task in general...whether it be brake dust or the oil compounds of the brake pads I could not find my wheel mitt so I grabbed a new one out of my bin and used it. What a difference....not in fiber but maybe. The foam core on the new mitt was plush and not as flat as the old mitt. It appeared to be carry more solution per each dunk than... Read more

Spoiled in the *Hobby*

There was a time where a mitt and buckets was good enuf Then, it became that for 80% off the time, HP rinse before a mechanical wash. In the current stage of the hobby for me.....if it's dirty enough, like in this heavy Nor-Easter rain soaked film , mechanical wash is not even an option till a do a chemical decontamination before the mechanical wash. Have we become spoiled in the hobby or just more professional in our approach of good, better best. I am pondering this as while this is... Read more

MaxFlow MPro 25 GEN 2

Absolutely love it! I just got a chance to try it before working tomorrow. I'll post a couple of pictures of it then. But it's a pretty trick little unit. Very solid and burly. The dial down function would of been ideal for this kind of situation. And door jams. Completely different animal than my Active 2.0. Runs quieter. And much smoother when you start and stop it. being completely honest it's twice the machine! what little I' ran it. The software really works and is precise. I ordered... Read more

ADS Goes Acid

It looks like ADS is jumping into acid decon/maintenance the way Labocosmetica did with Purifica. I haven't read/watched all the blurb but they just came out with Detox and Regen, and mentioned somewhere a "2pH wash". Hard to imagine they won't at some point be coming out with something like Labo Primus to complete the 3pH wash trio.

Removing house paint splatter from ceramic coating?

Yesterday, a bag broke getting out of my wife's Maverick, dumping a gallon of glidden house paint. The lid popped off, spilling most on my driveway. And then the splatter from the hose got some of the thinned paint on the trucklet! Last May or so, when it was new, I applied a coat backfire ceramic to it. I'll start by pressure washing, but what to do for anything that remains? thanks

Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I don't know about you but when I place an order through the geek, I couldn't wait to get the package. I literally check the tracking page 10x a day. It doesn't help that I live on the other coast so delivery time takes forever. Anyway, I would like to see your unpacking pictures and what products you got! When I see other people unpacking and what products they got, I feel excited for them as well. Anyway I'll start... This is the second order I received in the past month!!! There's... Read more

Collinite Beadcoat and 520 Quick Detailer

I've been using Beadcoat this spring/summer and am liking it quite a bit. Has anyone used this on colder days, like 40's - 50's? I'm wondering how easy it applies when it's cold. Another question - has any of you used Beadcoat with an occasional application of the 520 quick detailer? Do you feel like you're getting a "build-up" of product?
