The plastic covered wire threaded through the long side of my Korum Fast Mat broke, this is the one of those subjected to the twists when packing away. I fashioned a fix but decided to get a new one, and found that they are 4cm longer now, 90cm as opposed to 80cm. I am fishing the River Severn for a few days with some mates. We are "old school". We don't discard line, drink cans, empty meat tins etc. We take it down to the river and, after our session, we take it back to the car to be disposed of properly. Why oh why oh why do other anglers leave all their rubbish in the swim? I genuinely don't understand it. It can't do with weight as an empty can of meat weighs less than a full can! Answers please on a postcard to BAA!

It's that time again. The twice yearly Romsey Tackle Fair will be held this Sunday 4th October at Romsey School Hampshire. Normally about 30 or more sellers with both old and modern fishing tackle for sale. Some real bargains to be had Opens at 9: 00am and finishes around 12: 30 lunchtime. A great chance to meet up with friends and make new ones.

Hi, quick question, I have a pair of Shimano 5000 XTEA reels, I would like to move them on as I just dont use them, they are in really good used condition and were serviced closed season 2025. Just looking for some advice as to the value? Thanks

Obviously can be used for a bunch of things other than just using a spomb! Roughly 4-4.5lb test, and based on the old e class blank I believe. After many years searching for the aspire ultra rods, successfully too, like buses 2 have come along at once. They are new but obviously have been in a stock room and robbed on occasions of most of their tips. They are the 12/13 medium feeder versions.
