Does anyone know how this door’s limit switch/cam assembly comes out? I think my switches are worn out, starting to have door issues. I have to stand on the top of a ladder to get to it and it’s up tight to the ceiling. Not the easiest place to work, I’d rather have a little knowledge of how it comes apart rather than make myself more problems learning.

Does anyone know if these Blowers booms etc are still available and from whom?
My gearbox broke on our Kondor this week. I shut down all the power for the wash and got the gearbox replaced. When I finished with the gearbox replacement I turned all the power back on and turned the Unitec power switch on. I can hear the Unitec fan running and lights are on inside the kiosk, but the display is now just black... Not sure what happened as everything was functioning and working fine before shutting it down and turning the power off. Any ideas, or has anyone else experienced... Read more
A local baseball team asked me to use my wash as the staging area for their car washing fundraiser. That's like asking Burger King if you could sell burgers in their parking lot. They want to do it on Saturday from 9 to 12. That's like the busiest time and day for me to make money. What would you do?
I'm waving the white flag, I need help! I was hired to manage a few SS wash locations for a new owner. I'm learning as I go, what a ride it's been! My latest endeavor is to get chemical delivery to the bays dialed in for best customer experience. The previous owner seems to have leaned more toward the budget route and most of the chems seem on the lean side. We are aiming for a customer first approach. I don't understand how the previous owner figured the dilution. I'm going to use HP... Read more
I have a bay that has a continuous spray. Troubleshooting I have changed the Erie 3-way valve this worked for a day it started again. I then replaced valve and seals on cat pump, balance pressure regulator- replaced hose & fittings from Erie valve to 310 cat pump worked for 1 day. I then replaced 3 more fittings- redid 2 other hose fittings- replaced spot free check valve- Erie 3-way check valve & replace wand assembly. This worked for 2 1/2 days. Then replaced 310 cat pump and assorted... Read more
The local gas company....saw cut my heated car wash aprons without calling me....cutting several lines. They were replacing something that required the aprons to be cut. So now, after 30 years of flawless service, it obviously has to be repaired before winter. What cautions need to be observed? I need advice. I don't want them to put the wrong kind of repair coupling in there....pour concrete around it...and in 5 years...have issues. Is this a big deal, or a simple patch?
Hi all, I have been trying to break through into SS ownership for a few years. I started out pretty mild in my approach, but over the last year have gotten much more aggressive. My question is does anyone have suggestions for how to get in touch with wash owners to inquire about selling? For background, washes rarely go on the market where I am. And the ones that have gone on market went on a few years before I was looking and sold. Also, there is one guy who buys a lot of the washes... Read more
I am looking at switching from a 573 Hydrominder to Dema Sentinel 537PN or a Hydro Systems 564 Hydrominder. Any thoughts? I am leaning toward the 573- higher GPM.
What is everyone doing for new paystations? I don't need anything fancy. I have 2 Unitec WS2's and they are fine, but the add on EMV card acceptance is starting to be problematic with Nayax, and I think customer's are having issues with the card reader and unitec not really integrating well together. I have Portals at other locations and like them but they are so expensive. All I really need is something that takes cards, cash, gives change, and fires washes. My subscriptions are... Read more
Hi Everyone, I am glad that I came across this forum! I have been browsing the various threads on the forums the last few days and appreciate what I've picked up on so far. I live in Canada and am looking to relocate to down south US (Florida) with the family. Car washes up here are expensive (mostly due to real estate prices skyrocketing) and profitable (due to the fact that we have snow/salt in the winters). I have been researching businesses that are semi-absentee with decent profit... Read more
