That is a good way to do that I was just looking into the same approach, but yours is much cleaner lol.
There’s a network of salt mines under the town I live in, they give tours, it’s nearly identical to what you show here…only more exposives
The action you can use is “Add Canned Response as Internal Note”. First, create a canned response. Put whatever you want as the label and the response. The most important thing is to put “ #add 15m” on a separate line somewhere in that response. Then create your rule using the filters and matches as necessary. For the actions, use the “Add Canned Response as Internal Note” along with the label you just created. The “ #add 15m” command is a Tickets Anywhere command and will add time. Follow the link to learn more about other commands you can potentially use which may not already be a rules action. Edit: I thought I’d add the end result as well.
Yes, we always do a Scream Test. Turn it off, see who screams. We’ve been saved a few times by that.
This is why documentation is important! Make sure each server is host to only the services it was originally setup for and that task is documented and updated if/when changed. If you MUST run multiple services on a server, make sure all of them get the same treatment, saves everyone (yourself included) the headache of figuring out what was done after!
I don’t think we’ve found out the hard way that something was still in use; whenever we decide a system is ready to go, we just disconnect networking in vmware; easy to bring back online by just reconnecting the network. If nothing breaks, then we actually shut it down. It eventually gets archived and actually deleted after another little while.
Bob2213: Tor, the Norse god of Tunder. I may have actually laughed out loud at that
Our receptionist has some scheduled send tasks setup and when she adds attachments in “New” Outlook, it’ll fail to send…but if she creates it all in Outlook Classic, it works every time! I keep telling her to stop using New for this…
We had a customer that had an old server that seemed to be just acting as a shelf in the server rack. So, we decided to upgrade the server rack and removed the “shelf.” Turns out it was the card access system and when the server room door closed, we lost access to the server room. Not proud to say that I was the smallest and was hoisted through the ceiling tiles to break through the server room wall and dropped into the server room to open back up the door…
