Hi at 16.54 and my sugar levels 12.9 I injected my Tresiba 2 units in error as should be Fiasp 2 units. I realised straight away and injected Fiasp 2 units as was having just 8 carbs. I usually take 6 units at around 22.00 hours. I don’t want to ring 111 as only a small dose but my thinking of injecting 4 Tresiba not 6 units may help?

Good afternoon, I have been lurking for a while and found it informative. I was diagnosed with prediabetes while in hospital in Turkey. I ignored it like a fool. Anyway recently my blood results said I was pre-diabectic and I have finally decided to tackle the problem. I've probably been like this for a decade. I'm absolutely determined to put this into remission. I was around 16 and a half stone until 14th May came along where I decided to fast. I saw a picture of my belly on my mates... Read more
Hello everyone, I would be grateful for recommendations for credible, evidence-based resources on prediabetes and reducing the risk of progression to type 2 diabetes through diet, exercise, weight management and other sustainable lifestyle changes. I would particularly appreciate suggestions for: - trustworthy UK or US websites or organisations; - well-researched books for the general reader; - practical guidance on diet, exercise and weight management; - resources covering wider... I am well controlled on Trulicity (Type2) and most days before breakfast i am about 5.1-5.5 , i take a 40mg gliclazide with my breakfast and sometimes when i am out i feel as if my blood has dropped (about 2 hrs later), should i stop taking the gliclazide ? It has happened at home and my blood was around 4.5-4.7 . Anyone else experience this ?
Hi - I am posting this in case it mirrors anyone else' experience - someone can perhaps provide advice or it might help someone get to the bottom of their symptoms I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in Jan 2022 with an HbA1c of 99. I was immediately prescribed 4 metformin a day, but I did some research and decided to give low carb/exercise a go. I ignored the metformin, went low carb, hit the treadmill and within a year I lost 30kg (down from 120kg) and got the HbA1c down to 41. I was... Read more
Hi all, I am back here with some bad news. My T2 changed. I am now T3c. My pancreas was discovered atrophied on a CT Scan. This finally told my GP what was happening and Creon was prescribed. Which was amazing …dr had not believed me. And now I was “ free” of the diarrhoea. But he was so slow to get my BGL under control. Now my new GP is on the case but is lost too. My numbers live in the teens. Finally after two years I am seeing a Diabetes Educator. I now am on two insulins. I feel so... Read more
Seven weeks ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with a HBA1C of 94 (having had gestational diabetes a few years previously). I'm 46 and my children are now primary school age, so I want to be around and be fit and healthy for many years to come. However, I'm feeling very deflated after only just having had my first appointment with the diabetic nurse. I had a second HBA1C test five weeks after my first (to confirm the diagnosis) and brought it down to 60 mmol, having made... Read more

Hi all. Not been using a monitor for long but they all seem to die after a few months. Can any one recommend a monitor for use with strips, that is bullet proof. Ideally I would like a blue tooth enabled one with an app that talks to apple health. Don't mind if it's a bit expensive just that it keeps working...
Hi. I'm travelling to South America for 30 days and will be taking spare insulin pens as a back up. On the outward journey I will be travelling for 36 hrs. Does anyone have any advice how to keep my back up insulin fridge cold for this long?

Hi, I’ve just been informed my bloods have come back as in the pre diabetic range, when getting my thyroid bloods back! I’m overweight, but eat a healthy diet, no bread, pasta, pies, cheese, cream, biscuits, etc. Anyone else with both a dairy and gluten free diet to follow? I eat UPF free too, I’ve got Blood sugar diet and Fast 800 as this is how I lost my 3st, but it’s been a while, so I need to look at the recipes again, other with it will be protein plus veggies I’m guessing! I think... Read more
