It sat for a few weeks and wouldn’t start. Valves were stuck and freed up with PBBlaster. Starts and runs now but only firing on 2 cylinders (2 and 3). Cylinders 1 and 4 appear wet but not firing. I have a blue spark in both. 6 volt and J4 magneto. Timing was good, new carb and float is set correctly.

Hey guys I have this belly mower that I got with my tractor but I haven't been able to find out what model it is. I found similar pictures but nothing that looks exactly like this. I am wondering if it was modified by a previous owner.
For those who know these are rare and almost never turn up, they also weigh twice as much each half is 25 lbs, maybe more? so I need $300 for the set, I can bring these to Northeast Cub Fest on Friday if that Helps Tim
New to this site because I have my eye on a Super A for sale. I have been reading some threads and finding some good info. I’m looking but haven’t found a website to see all of the implements and/or attachments for it. Any help there? I have a half acre garden and a JD 32 hp tractor in SE Louisiana on an 8 acre tract that belonged to my Great Grandpa. My Grandpa plowed this garden with a horse and when the horse died he used a borrowed mule. He finally bought a Farmall that went to my... Read more
So I have had this Cub 51 F cub for about 20 years now. The previous owner said it was rebuilt new cyl head and new clutch when I bought it but it never acted right afterwards. First problem I found was Gov timing was off. Had a bit more power then but not what I thought driving H' and M's and big tractors my whole life. So it has been ups and downs and woe's Like every other Cub guy on here till NOW! The clutch had been getting to the point where when you pushed it in the tranny did... Read more
A great show…
I am looking into buying another nice little Cub that seems in fair shape, but the owner can't get it to start (doesn't have a hand crank and mine is 70miles away). He has put two or three new batteries in it and it still barely lumps over like the batteryis dead. I helped him clean the starter contacts, checked wiring, etc, but no joy. Starter doesn't seem to be heating up much when cranked and no cable hot spots. Do you think the starter is dead? How would you diagnose that?
I figured I would get the old 1956 out for a little work today. It was a good day to cut grass, give the dogs some exercise and keep a piece of our farming history alive. After seventy years this little fellow can still pull its weight. Love working on these to keep the old days alive.
Happy birthday Glenn.
I have a 1966 International one-ton truck with a 265 cu. in. straight six engine. Parked 7 years ago, when I couldn't solve an over-heating issue. I ran it on recreational fuel (no ethanol) and had a small amount left in the tank. With a shot of fuel as primer in the carburetor, it started right up with a new battery. After a few minutes it ran on its own smoothly. I use a product called Fuel Optimizer by Motorkote in all my older equipment, and among other benefits, it acts as a fuel... Read more
I have a nice F17 Middle Buster or Potato Plow for the Fast Hitch, as most may know they are super Rare, this has much of the factory paint and Has the depth wheel which is missing from most, the depth wheel still shows the factory decal, , wheel is off but included with it, see it in the pics, this would shine up nice for show or use it, $1500.00 for this Can bring to Northeast Cub fest if that helps Thanks Tim
