Yep. Well, not totally gone, but I no longer have it. After I sold my F-250 a year or so ago, I got a Ford Explorer to go with my Edge. As it turned out, I really missed my truck. I don't regret selling it, especially with the current price of diesel. So I bought a F-150. Much more manageable, and ahhhhh, back in a truck. I gave my Edge to my son, to help him get back on his feet. Then he will give it to my grandson. Or help him get the car he wants (he wants a Mustang). Anyway, my son took the car home today. 98K and some change miles, just fully serviced, and otherwise good to go. So I'll hang out on the forums here for a bit more to look for any straggler comments or replies to other threads, then say goodbye. It was a great car, and never gave me any trouble, other than normal maintenance stuff. I would even consider the failed TPMS sensors maintenance items. They are all fixed now. It's been good...y'all carry on!

There's a new safety recall for the following Goodyear tires. NHTSA Recall ID Number : 26T011 Synopsis : Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear) is recalling certain Eagle F1 Supersport tires, sizes 305/30ZR21 and 255/35ZR20 . The tire tread may separate. Tread separation increases the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge, or provide a refund. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 15, 2026. Owners may contact Goodyear's customer service at 800-321-2136.

My 3.5 powered Fusion Sport had the water pump let go at 159,000 miles, and filled the crankcase up with coolant and over heated, it a very short period of time. Not sure if it is fixable for reasonable or not. So I went to look at an MKZ (and they had 2 MKX's that I wanted to check out as well). Not many of them around, and the 2017+ with the 3.0TT are pricy when they come up. So I looked at 2013-2016 with the 2.0 (also available with the 3.7, no thanks). This 2016 MKZ Reserve with the Technology Package and moon roof fit what I was looking for and price. I didn't want a moon roof because of how much head room they take, but not bad. Still warming up to the color, Guard Metallic with Cappuccino interior. 95,000 miles. It is missing some things from my 2019 Edge SEL, like stop and go cruise (it has adaptive cruise, but at 12 mph it turns off) and lane centering. But it has a lot more options. From my experience, I believe I'm easily doing about a sub 5.0 second 0-60. Once the Hellcat's 650 LB FT of torque got that TRX Hellcat moving, the 707 crank HP pulls extremely hard ... "sweet spot" for the TRX. Those trucks have a declared 4.5 second 0-60 time, so, basing my theoretical belief of sub-5 seconds, because he flew by me at 50 mph. I'll get it out to the Dragstrip soon. There were online rumors last yr that Ford and BG had ageed to market a Motorcraft branded fuel additive. i called the parts guy today at the dealer and he said the stuff had been for sale and then withdrawn and then pitched me to get a fuel system cleanup at the dealership.

I just got a notice from Ford that I could extend my Blue Advantage service plan. I least I think it was from Ford. I go to the web site and put in the reference number I got from them. It would not work, there was a problem. The message said I should join a Chat to resolve the issue. Of course they wanted my email address, for no good reason. When I got on line with the Chat lady I was told that she could not solve the issue and that I needed to talk to one of there sales reps. I wonder if this web site works at all or if it is designed to fail so I have to call one of their sales reps. A high pressure sales rep, I am sure. This is total BS and makes me want to buy anything but a Ford for my next car. When did flat out lying to your customers become standard business practice.

Finally had time to install the Cruz roof rack. I really like the fit. With lock set $399.00 I removed the Cruz stickers from the tower covers. I may look into custom stickers (Ford, Edge, etc.) in the future, but the empty square doesn’t bother me for now. These clear the panoramic roof too.
