Beautiful area, was it hard to teach your new dog to retrieve the sheds? Most dogs, by the time they are 10 months old, are full grown, even if they might not act like it, lol. Always scary to run across a rattlesnake like that, glad you did not get too close.
I could be wrong but I was thinking the limit was 15 perch.
I have not been able to get on BFT for the last two week (said unsafe) anyway last time I was at deer creek we had 50 rainbows and one perch by 10:30 and went home I have two rapals that are killers then use the downriggers that have kokanee stuff on, a lot of green and worms.
The link worked for me…thats quite the sled! I wouldn’t want to physically pull it very far on my own…especially up a hill at the end of a day!!! I know everyone has an opinion on what makes a good sled. For me, I think I finally found one that is the perfect starting point. Maybe not cheap, but its light, simple and in my mind I can think of many ways to modify it for whatever need I have. Sometimes I just go with my Jr Sled..other times I take the larger sled with a shelter. This setup I can see working for both those options…mostly just by changing out the two bars that create the “width” of the sled. Anyway…when I decide to build one I think I’ll start with this as the foundation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3CUnsTCZtw
oh thanks maybe it’s just my computer that won’t pull it up.. Thanks
I clicked your link and got a graphic
I don’t think that link is going to work… Let’s see if I can try again… https://chatgpt.com/s/m_6abe56e87dbc8191adbcbc5d3e469c63 Guess that isn’t going to work, I threw a few ideas into Chat and asked it to put together and ice sled design and it did okay for what I was looking for… I’ll have to put something together and post it when I get something I can export… Later J
What do you think of this new ice sled? ChatGPT - Ice Fishing Sled Design Infographic
Seems like with all those eyes and wiper in there, I’ll bet Willard won’t be in any danger of a perch over population like some ponds get, so I agree a limit is a good idea… I didn’t see what it is, is it like 10 fish? Hope it isn’t any higher than that… If I catch two or three I usually feel like I’ve got enough to feed my crew… At least all that will eat fish…
Sorry bout the change in plans, but hopefully it will still be good… I did a little sighting in of the ole rifle last night… It hit pretty well for open sights, other than when I started getting flinchy… Man I’m such a whimp after I get kicked good… Going old school on the deer hunt this year and hunting the Cache unit with open sights only… That’s going to be interesting, I probably can hit futher shots with my muzzleloader with the scope than I’ll be able to hit with a .308 and sights… Probably won’t have to worry about taking anything home this year… Anyway hope the cats come to play for you Saturday, guess you’ll be hearing some booming going on with the duck hunt opener that morning… Fun time of year, kind of wish this weather and good times would last longer, maybe I just need to take time off work and enjoy it better… I think it’s getting time to look closer into retiring… Later J
I’m not a super taster, either. But there is a marked difference between Folgers and Community Coffee.
