@nkc when MagicMirror starts up the console log displays a section with runtime info. Could you post that?

@plainbroke yes, I think an issue on the module github repo is the right thing… I’m old too… ask that same question every day!!
I don’t see a solution in the default module either, but I’m preparing a PR to improve the error message. The API key thing is a bit misleading.
Hi all, I made a module for our hallway mirror that shows the household chores due today, from my app Chores Machine. [image: MMM-ChoresMachine] What it does Shows only what is due now. Chores stay hidden until their day comes, so the mirror stays calm. One line per chore, with whose turn it is. Several lists (family, flat, plants…) each get their own heading. When nothing is due it says so and stays quiet. English and Swedish included, and every line can be reworded with strings. No dependencies, no npm install. The token stays on the server side (node_helper), never in the browser. Good to know before installing: the feed needs Chores Machine Pro (iOS/Android, 7-day free trial). The app itself is free for your own chores. Pro is the sharing part, and the mirror feed comes with it. Install cd ~/MagicMirror/modules git clone https://github.com/Jhonte/MMM-ChoresMachine.git Then make a link token in the app (You → API access → Make a link) and add: { module: "MMM-ChoresMachine", position: "top_right", header: "Chores", config: { token: "cm_…" } } All the options are in the README: https://github.com/Jhonte/MMM-ChoresMachine It has been running on my own mirror for a while. Feedback, bugs and translations are very welcome, either here or as GitHub issues.
I saw on here that someone had made a module that showed the doorbells video on the MM screen when someone walked up or rang the doorbell. I was wondering if someone could make one that works for the Wyze brand Doorbell…???
@KristjanESPERANTO Thanks! Yes, absolutely. I’d be happy to create a PR and see if the FMI provider could be integrated into the core weather module. I’ll take a look at the contribution guidelines and the existing regional providers first, and then prepare the changes accordingly.
I’ve used MMM-Teslamate and forked version of MMM-TeslamateLocation for quite some time but since I have 2 Teslas, it requires a total of four instances of these modules so I thought that I would merge them together. I also recently created MMM-GeneralMotorsEV so I tried to make the visual style the same so they looked very similar next to each other on a MagicMirror. It still requires Teslamate to feed mqtt events. https://github.com/maxbethge/MMM-TeslamateWithLocation
I’ve come to love and rely on the MMM-Teslamate module and wanted something similar for our new GM EV. While GM doesn’t have an official public API, it’s possible to extract long-lived user tokens and use the same API as the app. Since GM utilizes a bunch of firewall rules on top of their crappy API, it’s nowhere near as useful or timely as Tesla API calls. The API often returns 429s but YMMV. To get a user token, it’s easiest to use https://github.com/metheos/onstar_firefox. https://github.com/maxbethge/MMM-GeneralMotorsEV
@plainbroke I’m using a free account and it works. The user token has been working for over a week without being revoked.
A provider for the US Open Tennis Tournament has been added to the MMM-BracketEngine module. You can select any of the draws (MS, WS, MD, WD, XD, BS, or GS). MMM-BracketEngine now has providers for (fifa, usopen, wimbledon, static). Let me know if there is a provider you want.
@bwente Looks nice! Don’t forget to add it to the module list: https://github.com/MagicMirrorOrg/MagicMirror/wiki/3rd-party-modules :)
@ian1266 lot you can do without shiny glass
