EBMM US Short Scale gig Bag?

Hi and Happy New Year. This is my first post. Recently I bought a brand new EBMM Stingray Short Scale bass off the eComm site and it came 7 weeks early .. nice. I like it a lot. I have been playing short scales for a few years now but this my first ever EB. So I'm looking at gig bag cases because the very nice case the instrument came with is a larger heavy duty one which is great for the shipping not so much schlepping. The Shorty bass is 41.5" long and I believe it would fit in... Read more

Hi , Just new here, and I want to share my second axis , that I bought from Portugal . I had some strange feelings about this guitar , a few things dit not match , but I send Ebmm a mail about the serial , and also checked the serial page. Finally after a week we find out that this Axis was a real tribute 20th anniversary solid gold / vintage gold , one of the 12 made First I could not believe it, does the guy know that he sold a rare guitar , should I tell him ( I did not ) don’t want to... Music Man Stingray pickup springs

I got myself a red Stingray recently. L03295, lefty made in the year 2001. Lovely instrument. The previous owner told that his guitar tech had removed the 4 springs located in pickup poles underneath the pickup. According to the tech the springs would cause some interference. Obviously pre-order had not experienced any such interference. The pre-owner does not know if the tech replaced the springs were with foam or springs on 3 pickup screws. The 4 original springs were included with the... Read more

Guitar string choices

What would you say is the best guitar strings between Elixir optiweb nickel wound steel D’Addario XL nickel wound Ernie ball super slinky nickel wound All gauge 9s For electric guitar since i’ve notice that whenever i bend full step on the high e string, the string keeps snapping whatever string i change into.

Majesty 20th anniversary, looking for someone who'd send me a photo/scan of his certificate

Hello everyone , yesterday I bought my first original EBMM Majesty and it's the 20th anniversary one! Unfortunately the previous seller lost the certificate. He also told me that the customer service won't send out a new certificate. I'm looking for someone who would be willing to scan his or take a photo of it so I can print it by myself and put it in my self made 'showcase'. Of course the serial number isn't the same but it's just for the anesthetics. I did the same for my JPX BFR... Read more

Cutlass Guitar Designed by Leo?

How much of a hand did Leo Fender have in designing the shape of the modern Cutlass guitar, setting aside its similarity with the Stratocaster shape? Did he come up with the shape of the Cutlass from the mid-1970s? I'm hoping someone who knows the history can clarify or shed some light on this. It's being said that EBMM has received a cease and desist letter from Fender, with speculation being that it is because of the Cutlass, but if Leo did design this guitar (or substantially designed or... Any chance of a .10-.38 gauge?

Hello. I primarily play an uncommon gauge that ranges from a .10 to a .38 string. The exact strings are .010 / .013 /.015 / .026 / .032 / .038. I know that Ernie Ball produces a heavy bottom set. Is there any chance of a “Ultra Light Bottom” type of set? It sucks buying a bunch of strings separate, and more people play this gauge than you’d think. But yeah it’s odd.

High E String Keeps Breaking

I've broken four strings over the last week (three brand new, including two Super Slinkys) at or around the 11th fret as I bend from Eb to F on the high E string. The guitar is a Silhouette, less than a year old. The 10th and 11th frets seem smooth enough, so I don't know what it causing the string to break. After the string breaks, I put on a new string, stretch and tune to pitch, then after about 15 minutes or so the new string breaks, every time at or around the 11th fret. I am... Read more

NGD - 1994 Luke 1

Hello everyone, I think my last post on the forum was an NGD for my Black Sparkle Luke II which I imported from Japan - and at the end I noted - I need to find my perfect Luke I, ideally before I'm 50... ...well, I'm 2 years early with this one! Again imported from Japan - its in great shape with just a tiny couple of marks on it and the trem backplate missing (fine with that). It arrived spotlessly clean and polished and smelling great with new strings. I noticed the colour being a bit... Read more
