Psych Careers MEGA CHART

Hi all, I have been planning on going to grad school in psych for a master's or a doctorate degree. However, when deciding what program to choose, I was pretty overwhelmed by all the degree types and career paths in psychology as well as the mental health field as a whole. So, I made a visual chart that depicts various career paths, their degree requirements, and their relevant pay grades (income based on 2021 US Bureau of Labor Statistics data as well as Glassdoor & Zip Recruiter averages)... One on one MCAT tutoring that starts with why you're missing questions

I'm Noah, owner of SweetLion Prep. I scored a 519 (97th percentile) and have tutored 100+ students over 3 years. Most students I work with don't need another full content pass. They need to know which kind of mistake is costing them points. So we start with a free content diagnostic (C/P and B/B). It shows which topics you think you know but don't, and you get a day by day plan up to your test date. From there, sessions go to passages and strategy, not re reading the textbook. ... Read more

How much hematology vs oncology in private practice?

For those in PP, just wondering how much of your day to day is comprised of hematology vs oncology patients. And within hematology, how much of that is benign vs malignant? How much time are you spending on the benign patients? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

What are my chances? LOW GPA non-trad student

This is my second time applying, and I am nervous as ever. In my first application, my cGPA was 2.7, and my science GPA was 2.2. Since graduating, I have continued to take the following courses - Conservation in wildlife bio -Ochem part 1 - Animals (philosophy) - Statistics for biologists - exploring the solar system I took them at two different institutions, and my GPAs for each are 3.8 and 3.3. From VMCA, my overall post-bachelor GPA is 3.6, my Post-Baccalaureate Science GPA is 3.7... Read more

Long-term planning for residency

Hi, if you've seen me on here, you know that I'm always worrying about something, so here goes: Broadly, what to do to prepare for residency applications? Specifically large animal surgery. I'm honestly not sure I even want to specialize but I want to keep it on the table. What matters? Grades/ Class rank? Publications? Externships? Letters? Clubs? I'd love to chill out a little bit about always getting an A (academic advisors said 3-4 people a year get an A in our anatomy class). I'm... Read more

RVU MSBS 2027-2028

Hi All! I thought I would start this thread since it doesn’t exist yet and I was hoping to get some insight into the RVU MSBS program. I applied early August for the 2027-2028 program, just wanted to see if anyone knew about decision turn-around times etc.

Marist DPT

Hello has anyone applied or has an interview with Marist?

Scheduling software?

What are you guys using to handle daily assignment and call schedules for a small practice.. say 10 providers max? I’m just looking for something better than a crummy google calendar that won’t cost $$$ to license and implement.

Current applicant

I have recently decided to apply to Rush. Looking at their secondary application, I am a bit confused, especially by the following question: "Do you have direct patient care/contact experience beyond shadowing/observing? Answering 'yes' demonstrates you have had active interactions with patients and/or clinical participation in their continuum of care" Surely they are not asking for the same thing I already put on my primary, it would seem a bit ridiculous for them to ask for this...
