My Bride is putting her foot down, asking me if I think it is time to dig out those new garden pants that I have had tucked-away at the back of a shelf in the garden shed for the past two years. Hi all, we finally cleared the back deck and I'm shopping for outdoor seating. A four-piece set (two chairs, a loveseat and a low table) looks like the sweet spot for the space, but I keep going back and forth on whether it really seats four comfortably, and how the frames hold up through a wet winter if I only throw a cover over them. Wife said I cannot put leaves into the garden area because she has plans. I mentally pivoted to dumping the 25 or so mulched lawn sweeper bags into the edge of the yard gardens which in fact is so much easier. So during my visit to Washington Headquarters last Saturday, We were heading down the sidewalk to the car and I saw the crabapple tree from the grounds had dropped fruit on to the walk. I grabbed a bunch and did my research. After cutting open I retrieved 8 seeds so on a moist paper towel in a plastic sandwich bag they went in to the fridge. Now I wait 40 days since Saturday until I can plant and see if I get some saplings.
