BZB (BRADYEISCHE ZIGSPITZBAHN)

Good day all, Thought I would share with you the beginnings (finally) of my new Garden Layout, Since moving to Shropshire on the day of Lockup April 2020, my time has been spent trying to rebuild my business and also do up the "doeruper" 1960s Bungalow that we purchased back then. This has meant so far learning about 1960 soffit asbestos removal and replacement, building regulations, new kitchens and bathrooms and lots more indoors nightmares. I started on the "Garden" earlier this year and... Read more

Which track layout to go for?

I am planning to expand my outdoor layout from a small loop to a long route. The dilemma I have got is which layout to choose! (a) Dog bone type with long parallel tracks in the middle section. (b) Reverse loop with single line at the middle section and 2 switches at each end to change the direction of trains at each end. I shall use battery power so no polarity problem to handle. I have not figured out how long will be straight middle section going to be but it can be 30 to 60 feet... Read more

Almost finished with my non-scenic indoor Live Steam G/Guage & HO.I will adhere my Astroturf and lay down tracks. This one day will all be disassembled to another location because my table was a modular custom build. What I would like to know is what size brass screws/type. And placement for the 13x7 Indoor Live Steam Layout and also inside the G Gauge will be HO Oval inside that. If you could recommend the exact type/size that would be much appreciated. Thank you. As per the title, I'm looking or a pair of log wagons for my heritage RhB freight train please? Not the bogie wagons....

Is there a wiring diagram for LGB Mogul 6 pin connector?

Is there a wiring diagram for an LGB Mogul 6 pin connector? I think this one is a 22182 (C&S dark red/black version). All but 2 of the wires were pulled out of the plug. I did I think an ok job but when you fire it up it chuffs once and that's it. I tried different combinations of wires in the ports but maybe I'm still getting it wrong. Tender looks like it has a magnet mounted on the truck for I guess whistle/bell but that doesn't work either. Engine runs fine. Took it all apart and checked... Read more

LGB-type 5 volt push-in bulbs - RED....

Needing a few spare 5v red bulbs (the push-in type with the short wire prongs) for my various LGB railbuses, I went a-rummaging on t'interweb last week and found these, which looked identical to the ones that LGB used to use.... BELI-BECO 68512 Mini Bulb 5 V 0.15 W Bi-Pin 2.8 mm Red 1Pc So I ordered a dozen to try them out, and they arrived this morning (free shipping and a week from order to delivery, not bad as they actually came from Rapid's parent warehouse in Germany rather than... Building the Regner Paul Tram Kit

After having purchased the kit some time ago, I have finally found some time to start the assembly. I will upload a few pictures of my progress along the way. Instructions are in German, but there are plenty of detailed pictures supplied, so assembly should be straight forward. The larger parts are nicely protected & wrapped in tissue paper Smaller components are supplied in little zip lock bags, numbered to the photos in the assembly instructions. A set of small tools are... Read more

RhB Wagon with Double Buffers

I've just had an LGB RhB Open Wagon delivered. Made in China 2004 and the LGB logo underneath. Then I noticed it has double buffers as a SG Wagon would, but the metre gauge RhB has single buffers. It looks like the buffers can be changed but as this item is second hand and with no box, I don't have the single buffer beam. Would anyone have this part for sale or to swap please? I have thing about running stock with the same buffering gear I fitted all my Piko Shimmns wagons with the... Read more

Blasted garden.

So, I suppose this is a good point to start. The title could describe the toll the past and recent summer's droughts and hot weather that has had on my garden. Or just me cussing ! Never mind so much heat there was little motivation to run antything, just test new battery conversions. That and I lost a fantastic part time gardener (ex' Legoland !) earlier in the year who helped me keep things under control. He had a devastating health diagnosis that ended his ability to carry on his work. I... Read more
