I thought I would start this thread to share on this new planar magnetic from Italy that @Uncle Wilson from Jaben SG had kindly sent across to me on Thursday. Confession from our team: before the iFi Audio iCAN PHANTOM 1.5 showed up, Cayla had never used a pair of electrostatic headphones. She also spent a good ten minutes digging through the box for the bias cards before finally opening the manual. They're stored right above the back panel connections, in plain sight. Hello all, My Jotunheim 1 is suffering from the annoying thermal issue where I need to use a hairdryer to heat it up before it can "wake up" and be recognized by the source. When researching a solution it seems that its better to use an external DAC rather than buying a new internal DAC card and use the Jotunheim as a pure amplifier. I´m in Europe (Sweden) so Schiit products are both expensive, hard to get, and questionable customer support, so I´m not to keen on more schiit products... Read more

I need help to best setup for my home, My audio system has a Devialet Mania speaker and two Devialet Ultimate 98db speakers. I also have Fiio FT7s and Focal Bathys headphones, and I need to buy a good amplifier to power the Fiio FT7s, all with the fewest possible cables and wireless options. I'm going to listen to FLAC music from an SSD and lossless Apple Music, basically. Thank you in advance

I have in my possession a Schiit Lyr+ and an Asgard 3. I am running a Mimir dac with DCA Norie X headphones. I have done comparisons back in forth between both amps (Lyr in tube and SS mode also). The Lyr+ to me gives a more spacious and layered presentation. Great mastering yields great sound, but a decent amount of what I like to listen to the mastering is not the best. Anyone looking at the AST ( A dvanced S ilver T echnology) Conductor's silver wires? The is a Greek company. I'm thinking about getting a half-meter assembled pair of XLR cables using the .75 diameter wire. Estimated cost is $329; however, after getting screwed over with dump's stupid tariffs wars, I'm a bit hesitant on ordering anything from overseas.
