This has been happening with all release builds of 1.9.5. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of image file -- FIT or XISF -- just trying to analyze a single file always crashes. Simple workaround is to add another file to the list. Here is the console output for the crash, then console output for the case of two files, which doesn't crash, and finally, a copy of the XPSM file for the setup I'm using with SFS. I'm glad to do more tests or provide more data if you wish. ====================... Read more

Hello. When I open Pix I've this message and don't know what to do. Thanks for your help.
Hi PixInsight team, I recently rebuilt my process using the PCL library bundled with PixInsight 1.9.4 (build 1693). The module loads and runs correctly on all PixInsight 1.9.4 platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS x64 and arm64). However, I did not test it on PixInsight 1.9.3, and a user has reported the following error when attempting to load the module under PixInsight 1.9.3: "Unsupported API version 187 (expected = 186)" It appears that the module was built against API version 187 provided... This picks up on the recent thread regarding my ImageBlend script. Juan advised to use processEvents() before ensureLayoutUpdated() and adjustToContents(). That works fine for simple layouts but you can still get differing results between contained-windowing-mode and non-contained-windowing-mode where you have more complex layouts. Below is a script - simplified as far as I can while still reproduce the issue. You will need to adjust the sizes of labels 1, 2 and 3 to ensure label1.height +... Read more
Howdy, I just installed the latest version of PixInsight (1.9.5 Lockhart (x64) build 1706). I had BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator, and StarXterminator installed and working before the update but, now, though the urls are listed in the Update Repository, it will not reinstall them or recognize them, when I try to run them, it comes up with "UnknownProcess" and won't let me proceed. When I try to perform an update, it doesn't see them as missing. I've removed the urls from the repository... Read more
Hello Sorry to report this, just experienced a crash when selecting an area (zooming) in the MLD preview window: drag mouse to cover an area that goes straight to the right border of the image. I wish I could provide repro steps, but PI didn't give me a chance to do that. I had activated the new 'contained windows mode' but it may not have any relation with that issue. PI version 1.9.5 b1706, macOS27, MacBook Pro M2 Max.
Hi, I'm having trouble using the VariableStarsObserver (VSO) process. PixInsight version 1.9.5, build 1706. If I try to apply VSO to an image with astrometry—where I have already successfully applied SPCC—nothing happens, and the console reports this error: VariableStarsObserver: Processing view: Image01 *** Error: Image has no valid astrometric solution Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
1 A precise and detailed description of the problem. ML Denoise 1.9.5 not exploiting the available GPU 2. The precise steps necessary to reproduce the problem. 2.1 Install and test with a GXT 1050Ti graphics card. This card meets and exceeds Pixinsight's published requirements. It is on the NVIDIA support list with CUDA support and a computability index of 6.1. 2.2 Confirm the configuration WORKS using RCAstro NoiseExterminator. and NOTICE the correct use of the GPU... The ImageBlend script by CosmicPhotons (Mike Cranfield) was too tall in build 1705 with contained windows enabled, but could be resized. In build 1706, under W11 Pro version 25H2 OS build 26200.9457, it resizes minimally in width but not at all in height, making it nonfunctional as the Execute check mark is inaccessible.
Build 1706 on a Silicone Mac. I load in all the parameters into the ImageSolver script, hit the Go pedal, and it just grinds away. Have to force quit Pixinsight to get out. The Gaia catalogs are all downloaded and set up in the Gaia process.
Hello, I am getting an image integration failure due to Linear Fit Clipping. Not sure how to resolve the issue. I have searched different forums and tried lowering the minimum weight and without local normalizing and with auto reference. Still fails. The images seem to look good. Haven't had any errors before with WBPP. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
I just installed it, both processes complete but are extremely slow, by and large 20 times slower or worse. I am Windows 11 fully upgraded, AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor, 64 MB RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070Ti. Now solving a second image. The process terminates leaving console this way:
