This kit was given to me as a present in the late 80's when I owned a road-going R80GS. It has resided in various lofts since then and seems to be quite rare. However, it was always my intention to build it one day and I'd been thinking about it for a while when I found a replica decal set made by Blue Stuff. That gave me the final push to get on with it. Please find attached some photos of my build of Eduard’s 1/48 scale A6M2-N Rufe (weekend edition). Built straight out of the box with the exception of a replacement pitot tube from FineMolds, and rigging thread for the antenna. Hand painted using AK and Vallejo acrylics and lightly weathered using Flory Models gray weathering wash. Following on from a recent thread I thought it might be nice to share photos of our work areas. Might pick up some good ideas from each other, after all we are quite an inventive lot Did a search and couldn't find a thread newer than 2022 for this. With my GB Spitfire approaching the finish line I decided it was time to start a new build. This was a Christmas gift from my son and I’ve been looking forward to cracking on with it since then. It has a choice of x3 schemes, I’m tempted by the Malta based desert scheme aircraft but may change my mind as the build progresses. I’ve also got some Eduard PE to jazz it up a bit.
