We have been coming to Cozumel for many (many!) years, and a lot of our faves are no mas, so we need to expand our short list. We have La Choza, Pancho’s, La Perlita, El Moro, Kondesa, Conchita del Caribe, and Casa Cuzamil. What would you add?

I just got back from the Orthopedic, at noon, and I have a big deciscion to make. The doc says I'm way past due to have my ankle fused, but he just rolled his eyes when I asked about diving and martial arts. Do I do the fusion, or find a way to deal with the pain, which has become increasingly difficult to do? Doesn't impact diving very much yet, just walking, but the martial arts is getting too painful much of the time. Fusion will mean no flexibility at all, and they can't fuse it... Read more

Looking at planning a trip in april 2027. I am a diver, and my wife and kid like to snorkel. Couple questions, what would be a good resort for the family with shore snorkeling, nice pool? Are there dive companies at the local resorts that take single divers out? In cozumel it's very easy to jump in on a boat and stay with the group. As a new rebreather diver, I know very little on this subject so please pardon my ignorance. I am currently using a fill whip to decant medical oxygen into my 2L bottle, as expected im getting low conversion rates of around 100 bar into the destination cylinder. Im saving my pennies towards a booster pump to improve this, but honestly that takes money away from diving fund. (local dive shop doesn’t have a booster either so same issue there).
