@otc I will answer your question here, because I do think this topic has some uses. I actually just, finally, signed up for the Platinum earlier today. I already have CSR, Citi AA Executive, and Bonvoy Brilliant as premium personal cards, not counting many business cards. I think the math on the Amex Platinum is pretty easy. $895 a year is a lot. But $400 Resy Credit, $600 Hotel Credit, and $300 Streaming credit is all very easy to use. That already puts you at +$405. If you can... Read more
Stolen from TGFNY I propose that there are 3 levels of tailors for alterations and would love to know everone's favorite in all categories. Category 1) "Money is no object, I need my Anderson & Sheppard suit alterred and I don't fly to London commercially now that the Concorde is no more and my G-V is in the shop." Basically a tailor to whom you could trust anything. Doesn't have to be expensive, but most likely is. Category 2) Value for money. All-around tailor that provides good... Read more
Hi there, I just received this pair of beautiful shoes but I noticed that the upper finishing is a bit uneven where the upper meets the sole. Would you say this is normal/acceptable for this type of colour and a ~500€ shoe?
Hi everyone, I will be going to Milan in a few weeks and would like to pick up some new shoes while I'm there (loafers and dress shoes in the $250-$500 range). Can anyone recommend some must-see shops, whether small boutiques or department stores with a good collection? Many thanks!
First of all I want to thank you guys for all the incredible posts and insights on this forum. I'm an avid reader and always enjoy the conversations between you guys a lot. This will be my first post so please bear with me ;-) The epitome of my wardrobe are the suits and jackets from Cesare Attolini. I'm wearing them for many years with a lot of passion but nowadays I get more and more doubts to keep buying them. First of all the mtm prices for a suit are very expensive at the moment... Read more

Hi all, I would be grateful for some advice in relation to a leather jacket I bought. It is an All Saints Miller leather jacket. I like the jacket and feel that generally it is a good fit. However, I noticed creasing on the jacket on the non pocket front side, this is around the chest area. I understand this area would be more likely to crease as there is no pocket to provide stiffness like on the other side. I have attached some pictures, the first two are taken outside in daylight. The... Read more
Hi folks, Has anybody else noticed a recent uptick in half-canvas sportcoats in the Spring/Summer line? They rolled out their half-canvas separates last year at a significant price differential, but these new Samuelsohn jackets are still at a premium price. Anecdotally speaking of course, it seems that perhaps they might be moving to their "Core" collection and Heritage Gold being their only fully canvassed line. For reference... Read more
