I'm employed but I guess I sort of fit in the underemployed category, even though I don't feel particularly skilled. It's an awkward one because my degree isn't really valued anymore. I work part-time as a shop assistant, however the hours I work are only part-time by technicality. They are a lot closer to full-time. I have grown tired of working in retail but it's difficult to know what to pivot towards these days. I'm in the middle of repairing my PC but once I get that up and running again, well, I'm planning to have a look at what's out there (and hopefully I won't fall into the pit of despair). It's difficult.

Trump, Putin and Farage can all F off. Pretty ironic that Ann Widdecombe, someone that supported the disgusting death penalty was killed themselves by someone for their actions.
I can envision it becoming a utopia for people who think a loud exhaust warrants the death penalty and a failed experiment for anyone reasonable.
I seem to find it really hard to suppress the thoughts of feeling like times and opportunities have been wasted because I didn't get myself to go to bars, pubs and things on weekends even though I had less friends and that I "should" have done it anyway in order to meet people regardless of whether I liked it or I didn't. But I chose to spend my weekends at home and only went out on occasions mainly with family. I seem to think that if people didn't do these things then maybe I wouldn't be complaining that I'm "missing out" or "wasting life".

And yeah, of the autistics that have jobs, they seems to lean towards AI vulnerable jobs, with a lower proportion of technical jobs. Conflict would begin quickly with finger pointing towards people who aren't pulling their weight, and a solid third of the population refusing to contribute anything at all. Another problem will be the police, no offence to autistics, but we'll be absolute dog shite at policing ourselves.

In all likelihood, an autistic community will mostly attract the auitistics who are struggling in general society, the ones who are doing fine, and most likely to make an autistic community thrive will see no need to give up their already decent lives to live in such a place. I only see those with very high support needs joining. And the AI automation is harming the autism-friendly careers at most.

Secular humanism is roughly 'We still want to believe in Jesus but without the mess of religious wars'.
Literally the only thing meaningful about a guy is whether he came out on top in competitiveness and aggression as a kid - anything else is cope. If he utterly failed at that but could build a mountain of philosophy on top of that - none of that redeems him in any way because it doesn't change / fix his genes which were weighed in the balance and found wanting. Did he fail at the animal against animal level? Yes? Case closed, nothing else to see. No my verdict, that's just an immovable object in life, nature, and the social world where people were at least dumb and limbic enough to absorb the program rather than repelling its unreason and then needing to slowly reinvent the understanding manually over years within. This is also how someone can simultaneously end up brilliant and worthless - brimming with capability, just no social / societal authorization because the dominance metric is minimum and is the least optional of all things.

There are currently no scientifically valid biomarkers for any psychiatric condition, with the exception of certain proteins used to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease. The primary reason for this chasm between psychiatry and the rest of medicine is that knowledge about the biological basis of mental disorders lags behind other medical disorders.” So, in layman’s terms all developmental conditions including autism and mental illness exist on paper as separate conditions in psychiatry only as a name and set of symptoms because scientific knowledge of what causes and drives these conditions are limited. The symptoms are real but they can only be diagnosed by observing and questioning. They separate these co-morbids from a clinical point of view so they can target specific symptoms to help the patient i.e. the person with Autism and ADHD may benefit from ADHD drugs, maybe there is a new learning aid for the person with Autism & ID, to target the ID part. The disadvantage by zooming in and separating everything from a public perception is the loss of perspective and connecting the links which go beyond just coincidence. Nearly 40% of all kids diagnosed a
