A new superyacht has been launched from custom builder Lurssen, their first for the year. She goes under project name Hawaii and is 87-meters long with a Bannenberg & Rowell design. With a large 'A' painted on the bow helipad any guesses who this new yacht is for? Remember "ACE" has 'A' on the bow helipad too and she is for sale BUT she is a cream yacht, this yacht is white. "Areti" is also a Lurssen that was sold and was white.

Rossi Navi's first launch of 2026 is in the form of a 53-meter superyacht called "Heed". The design is something that is a bit different from Rossi Navi but the exterior is by Alberto Mancini Yacht Design while the interior is the work of Achille Salvagni Architetti. Built from all-aluminium the vessel remains below 500 GT.
This was a surprise... took a cruise on Sunday from Ft. Lauderdale down to Miami to check on the new "Niki Beach". As we passed through Port Everglades (which has up to 8 or more cruise ships in port on weekends) we spot a smaller than average cruise ship! For those of you not familiar with this new GIANT in the yachting world, it is the new 413' "Octopus". It belongs to Paul Allen (Microsoft). Rumor has it that this "ship" has a helicopter landing pad on the aft deck with a built-in... | HDW/Lurssen | 126.19M | "Octopus" | 2003/19 |
Attached is a photo of the bottom of my hull from inside the boat. This is right near my port strut. The other side does not have the powder on it. Do I have a problem? I am trying to locate a marine electrician in my area (Wilmington, NC). But it would help if you all could point me in the right direction. Also do I need to take immediate action to prevent damage. Bonding system was redone a couple of years ago in florida. Boat is a 1995 Viking MY. Thanks for you time.
Here is possibly a whole new and different question for everyone out there… Has anyone ever been a “Live Aboard” traveled to different places or maybe even did the loop and had say… Parkinson’s Disease? I see everyone chat about everything under the sun but what about those who love boating or fishing and have this disease. I’m talking motor boat not sailing. Just curious if anyone has or is currently a live aboard with such a disease and how do you handle it on a daily basis. Yes I have... Live Aboard and Travel with Parkinson’s Disease
Interesting maintenance issues. Recently while servicing my CACs and exchangers I noticed some corrosion on 3 of the aluminum casings. The spacer rings had cracked by the drip holes. The o ring seats were destroyed. I tried to have them repaired, but no one would touch it. I was told that because of the configuration of the casing, mounting on a milling machine was impossible. Try as I might, I absolutely could not locate replacements, new or used. I asked fellow boater for advice and was... Heater Exchanger and CAC Corrosion on My TAMD63A-P Twins
"Genesis II" is a yacht you do not hear alot of. She was completed in 2015 by Benetti and has an exterior done inhouse as well as an interior by Central Yacht. The 56-meter yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in her 900GT interior.
The second B.Now 67 STEEL has been launched and is called "Dagger". She has an exterior by the same RWD but instead of an interior by Reymond Langton, she has an interior by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
Thought there was a thread for this yacht already but clearly not. This is "JOY's" own thread and starting it out will be a video passing by her at anchor off Saint Tropez. She was built in 2016 by Feadship to a design by Bannenberg & Rowell with an interior by Studio Indigo. On the inside she can sleep up to twelve guests with her Gross Tonnage being just above 1,000 GT (1,095). The yacht even has its own page. http://motoryachtjoy.com/

On my 2005 43' Egg Harbor Sportfish (twin C12), there's a circuit breaker on the ER panel (with batt switches) that is labeled APS. Anyone have a suggestion for what APS stands for? Boat is on the hard for the winter and will eventually trace the wires to find out but this has been nagging at me. CB is inoperable at the moment and everything (I think) still works.
I am looking for recommendations for a hull and engine surveyor in the Ft. Lauderdale area. The boat is a 74' Ocean Alexander and it has Cat C32's. Any recommendations would be very helpful. Thanks Ron
