Thought I would share my experience after upgrading my Bose factory stereo in my 2024 CGTS. The sound system was just about the only thing I haven't loved about my CGTS, and after doing some research and speaking w/ Nick at Musicar NW I decided to order their Stage 2 upgrade, which includes new Morel tweeters for the dashboard, acoustic treatment for the door panels, and a new amplifier to replace the existing Bose amp found under the passenger seat. As part of the addition of a Match Up 6DSP MK2 to my BS, I measured the outputs and concluded the best option is to sum the Left Mid/High signal to the Left Low signal and the equivalent to the right side and have the DSP smooth the signals to have a stereo pair to work with.. For reference, I'm sharing the the measurements: Right side Mid/High Left side Mid/High Left side Low Right... SPP PCM4 speaker outputs measurements

I suppose I could look this up in the GTK manual (and fall asleep in the process), but I thought I'd ask here first. Long ago I stored a bunch of music files in the jukebox. Is there a way to read them back onto an SD card or USB memory stick or directly to a phone connected via USB cable? Thanks! Jim

This is for everybody that wishes they could do a CAN tap to get gear and brake pressure but is unable or uncomfortable to go there for some perfectly good reason, and thus would prefer to stick with good old OBD . Thanks to @phil_be I took a side trip from all the CAN back-engineering work going on in other threads to more deeply analyze the OBD port. Does anyone know the part number for the instrument cluster cover in black leather. Mine has peeled and the label has faded so I can not read the part number. 2019 base. Thanks

The musicar upgrade doesn't seem to be available any more (if anyone wants to sell theirs please dm me). I emailed them a few times with no response not sure if they are out of business or i am somehow finding they junk folder lol the local top installer (EMMA judge and winner) want to tap the bose amp with a helix match and make a custom harness to connect to factory harness under the seat to the dsp and leave the bose speakers alone for stage 1 before touching the speakers. i live in... 718 spyder with bose upgrade--no more musicar upgrade available

Although the Porsche base 718 may be less expensive, it is just as good as the 718 S when it comes to performance. There really isn’t much difference in performance and handling with the 718 base and the 718 S. 4.9 seconds for 718 base and 4.2 seconds for 718 S not much of a difference in speed from 0-60 mph. You could beat the S if your foot reaches the gas paddle first when the light turns green. I have raced my S with my friend's base at a light and I lost because my foot was a split 1/2... There is a campaign for my 2018 718 Cayman S that will flash my rear BCM with a newer version. I have done it in simulation mode and it goes through just fine. I was wondering if anyone else has completed a campaign using a cloned piwis.

The previous owner retrofitted a board in my head unit to support wireless carplay (thank you, I think). The issue I have is the moment I get in the car, it starts carplay... Honestly I like having it "some of the time" for navigation mostly but the rest of the time I find it way too colorful and distracting and I prefer usingthe car's jukebox display (I copied all my music) or the radio or whatever... The only way I can prevent this is turning off carplay completely at the phone level... Can you prevent carplay from auto starting ?
