Mathis with the measured values (MSS 1280, RTT 24 ms, p = 0.14) predicts 173 KB/s for loss-based CC; Fastly measures 146 KB/s. Cloudflare at 13% loss should be ~136 KB/s by the same formula and delivers 1.33 MB/s, i.e. roughly 10x over the loss-based limit, consistent with a loss-tolerant controller.

Hi, I’m currently testing AirVPN/Eddie on Fedora 44 with KDE Plasma/Wayland and SELinux enforcing. I have run into two issues that seem Fedora/Linux specific. The main problem concerns the option “Don’t ask elevation every run.” If this option is disabled, Eddie works normally: I enter my password once, Network Lock works, and the VPN connection is established without problems. If I enable “Don’t ask elevation every run”, Eddie installs/uses the persistent systemd elevated helper, but after reboot Network Lock fails and Eddie is unable to connect. I already added the recommended firewalld setting: NftablesTableOwner=no to: /etc/firewalld/firewalld.conf and restarted firewalld. SELinux appears to be blocking the persistent elevated helper. Relevant AVC messages include: avc: denied { rename } for comm="eddie-cli-eleva" scontext=system_u:system_r:init_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:net_conf_t:s0 tclass=lnk_file There are also denials involving cleanup of Eddie/systemd-resolved files: avc: denied { unlink } for comm="eddie-cli-eleva" scontext=system_u:system_r:init_t:s0 tclass=file and nftables is denied access to the Network Lock backup file: avc: denied { getattr } for comm="nft" path="/var/lib/eddie-vpn/state/netlock_nftables_backup.nft" scontext=system_u:system_r:iptables_t:s0 tclass=file The Eddie state directory currently has root-only permissions: /var/lib/eddie-vpn/state drwx------ root root The visible Eddie error is essentially: Could not open file: /var/lib/eddie-vpn

Hi, I have been using AirVPN and Eddie for almost 3 years in MacOS and Android. Some time ago (1 year?) I started to have this problem in MacOS when I started Eddie, the computer went to sleep and back or sometimes switching cable/wireless. When the splash window reaches the "network lock" step it shows this message and closes: Unexpected error. I can't get FreeBSD to work with the kill switch enabled, without it I can get a connection just fine. Allow LAN / Private, DHCP, ping is enabled in the eddie-ui client settings. Linux mint works fine for VMs, but the connection also seems to break with lubuntu. Any ideas anybody?

Linux Mint 22.3 -Cinnamon Kernel 6.8.0-139-generic Eddie UI 2.26.6 About a week ago trying to connect through Eddie fails with an error message posted below. Trying to turn on the Network Lock before trying to connect will fail with an error message and typically causes the UI to freeze. Attempting iptables-restore either is doing nothing quietly or fails without an error message. It will be 'running' for 5 or more minutes without showing the command prompt before I force quit. Hitting any key followed by the Enter key will show the message "iptables-restore: line 1 failed" and return to the command prompt. Any ideas on how to fix this?
