Hi Thank you for letting me join the group. I have purchased a new tank. the glass top panels were put inside the tank wrapped in bubble wrap,and taped to the bottom and sides of the tank. some of the sticky residue from the tape has remained although I took it offas carefully as I could . I have some "desolve It" but concerned this might cause problems with the tank. there is nothing in the tank yet. advice appreciated, thanks

Thought this list might be useful. Post a fish or critter that might be considered reef safe, especially if you have specific experience with the animal in question. Do list why you consider the animal a threat to a reef setup. For example, no need to list clown triggers or parrot fish, but some of the larger angels can work under some circumstances. I have one assassin snail with an uncontrollable appetite. I dropped 6 bladder snails in his tank and they were all eaten within 3 days, possibly 2 days. So now I have obtained about a dozen more and am breeding them separately for now. How many should I have before adding to the tank so that sammi the assassin will not eat them all. I took my dinosaur to the fish store in hopes to switch from my old T5 fixture to the LEDs. They wanted $100 for a 24" extendable for my 29 gallon freshwater. I figure Online stores have to be able to beat that price but I don't know which one to get. Any help I can get on which one to buy would be appreciated. I heard air stones can displace CO2 and make it difficult to grow plans, any truth to that? If i wanted to add one could it be a good idea to put it on a timer? 3 gallon with hardy plants like java fern, moss and moneywort. Thanks!

I started a thread last week or so with my experience in regards to buying some fish online. It was the first time I had ever purchased fish by mail order and I was blown away by the speed and efficiency of this particular transaction. The seller had the fish in the USPS's hands by 0930 on a Wednesday and they made it to me, ~1200 miles away by ~11am on Thursday. Per the tracking info, actual transit time was like 12hrs from the time they left the seller's USPS to my doorstep... Read more

I live in south florida and I am considering setting up a pond in my backyard. It will be 12' long, 3' wide, and 2 or 3' deep. What kind of filtration or water pumps will I need for this? I plan on keeping 4 alligators (NOT, just kidding) some turtles and maybe a couple large fish. Thanks

Is there anything wrong with these kits? They are only $78. I think they are maybe 50 g and have a filter/pump and small water fall.
