I have Gold Tip Blemished 600 spine Arrows, .295 OD. I use a Bitz Jig, helical adjusted the best that I can. Using Flex Fletch Super Glue, same as I use on plastic vanes with no issues. Due to the feather being flat at the quill, unlike a plastic vane I am having a rough go at getting a good bond. A flat surface being attached to a round surface does not have much contact. So for those that don't have a press and need the shop, how far do you have to travel? I am in a dead zone, I have a 1hr drive to the nearest shop. Have 4 options. The one I have been frequently visiting is Gun World and Archery Pro Shop in Corydon, IN. This place has a full service shop with plenty of techs to assist those in need. Unfortunate first post here. I was getting a bit of practice in this afternoon before firing up the smoker to cook dinner. I’ve had these gas bowstrings on my v3x33 for several hundred shots. I spent time at home and the bow shop attempting to get the peep to line up straight, they twisted and dialed it to where it opens JUST slightly to the right, and if we made any adjustments, it would open slightly (more than to the right) to the left. So it was kind of like at a certain point I had to settle. I can hold it and pull the d loop over and get it to open straight-er for two or three shots and then it’s back to... We will be traveling abroad in a few weeks and my son would like to take his equipment with him for practice. We have already contacted a local archery club and were told my son would be welcome. But, I wonder if you ever had any problems with customs & security traveling abroad as archery equipment is also considered as weapons. Any tips to make this easy? I’ve been collecting radial spine data on different arrow shafts using the same testing method and wanted to put the results together in one comparison. Each shaft is measured at 8 positions around the circumference at 45° intervals. So I’ll be picking up an exalt 35 come towards the end of the month and wanting to buy a stabilizer set up. It will be for mostly 3D and thinking of doing a 15” front bar and 10” back bar. Wondering what bars are worth buying as everything seems to have shot up in price? I see a bunch of mixed reviews as far as durability and construction of them that i just wanted to get some ideas of which companies to look at. I used too just buy the field points from Sportsmans warehouse for about $8/dozen and hadn’t had any issues until recently. I can get maybe 6 out of a dozen that will spin good so I started searching for better options. I guess I never realized that they could be so expensive. Easton is very proud of theirs, Bohning is too. I can get some Chinese ones off Amazon for $16/dozen but not sure how I feel about that! What is everyone spending on their field points? I want good quality and... How much do you spend on field points?
