Has anyone ever tried fitting the OEM Bose system from a facelift Astra K into a pre-facelift? I have a 2018 Astra K with standard 6-speaker setup. I’m thinking about fitting Bose system. I can’t find any information about anyone doing this before. Is it possible? Has anyone attempted it? Thanks!

Hello everybody. This thread is not about problem but rather a positive one. As we all know the main problem with 1.6 CDTI engine is the timing chain and all sort of problems that it creates. There are a lot of thread with problems starting at 30-50-80k miles. That's why I would to ask all of you - how many miles did you manage with a 1.6 CDTI engine? Also how many timing chains sets or tensioners + gaskets or gaskets only have you changed during this interval... Astra 1.6 CDTI - How many miles/km do we have?

Getting into the car tonight I unfortunately stumbled (yes getting on a bit!) And unfortunately fell forward and grabbed the handbrake lever and unfortunately exerted a lot of weight/force on it.the lever moved all the way to disingaged but now it won't hold and just keeps slipping off the ratchet when I try to engage it. Anyone have any idea please of the damage I may have done?? Car is a 1.4t vx line 2019.

Hi all, I’m trying to wire a wireless phone charger into my 2018 Vauxhall Astra using a fuse tap, but I’m struggling to find a suitable grounding point near the interior fuse box. Can anyone point me towards a good ground location/screw/bolt that I can use? Ideally somewhere close to the fuse box so I don’t have to run the ground wire too far. I don’t have a multimeter either, so any advice on how to identify a suitable ground point would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, few years ago (~10-20k km ago) I got for the first time an error P2598 while driving followed by Reduced power engine message (turbocharger disabled by ECU). After cleaning EGR chamber and MAP sensor from a lot of carbon soot, I was driving car till now when I stated getting the same error. Always when engine is warm and usually while driven in a hilly area (I think it has to do with engine temperature). I have a bluetooth OBD so I can delete the error while driving... P2598 Turbocharger boost control position sensor 'A' performance - stuck low
