Getting a little tired of 12 gigabytes waves updates even though the only thing I’d probably get any for is Ovox so I figured I’d ask if there’s a plugin that can do what Ovox does but isn’t locked to yearly subscription updates? Aware of Evoke by minimal but I don’t know if that could do talkbox and if Ovox has any more exclusive algorithms, but I have to post it here since it’d probably be in the comments. And while I’m at it, is it possible to get the wavetables out of Codex by waves... Any effects that can do what Waves Ovox does, and is it possible to extract wavetables from Codex?

I was just wondering the best way to recreate the analog sound in your daw. I use logic 9 and im curious as to what people think the best say, analog vocal channel strip would be i.e which compressor --> eq etc to mimc an analog desk, and also regarding the bussing. Thanks

I lately found out that I really don't like non-round numbers in my setups. I guess I'm doing that for decades now, but just wasn't aware. Things like I would change an attack setting of 0.9 to 1.0. Or makeup gain from 7.6db to 8db. Now that I'm aware of that I will work against it, forcing me to keep the value as it is. It's just so strange that I never thought about what or why I am doing it. Anyone else with 'different from the other kids' behavior out there?

this post is more of a warning to those that decide to update to MacOS 27 Golden Gate, BUT this could be only a unique problem to me. i got my macbook pro m3 in april this year and have been using it on Tahoe until Golden Gate released last week. i had no issues installing software from torrents or the sister site that couldnt be fixed with a codesign or other command in terminal. i updated to Golden Gate and had no issues with any of my plugins or license activations until i...
