Vietnam Airlines have great deals on PE from France, so I booked a one-way ticket today from Toulouse to Sydney via Paris for $2,153.71, Premium Economy Classic. This does involve a long stopover in Vietnam. Two options, flying via Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, same price. 13 hour layover if going via Ho Chi Minh City, 17 hours if going via Hanoi. The dilemma last night. Which ones would we try Next month is Gin-uary in Hobart

Booked a NYE night at Pullman Sydney and now they're asking for $700 more. Any precedence on this? I plan on telling them to take a hike. EDIT: Original price was $500/night, so it wasn't some outrageous error rate. I booked this ~6 months ago.

Ever since Apple's AirTags were released, I have been using them with my checked luggage and I must say they have been a worthwhile investment. Seeing where the bags were gave me peace of mind that my bags arrived with me in a destination. Crucially, they have proven to be indefensible over the past 3 trips I took, where the airline has somehow managed to lose the bags I had checked. Hi all, Has anyone else noticed changes to the Velocity eStore? I can no longer find the “My Click History” or “My Purchases” sections, and retailers I previously used, such as JB Hi-Fi, Chemist Warehouse and Temu, no longer appear to be listed. Has the eStore recently been updated, or is this a technical issue? I would appreciate any insight from anyone who has experienced the same problem.

Experienced the expanded Sydney Domestic J lounge and tried the new sandwich bar today. Looks like the sandwich concept is now Sydney's "theme"? Talking to the staff - they plan on having one meat option and one veg option which will rotate fortnightly or so. A beast of a toasting oven has also been installed to support this so there has been some investment. According to the latest Cathay magazine and online timetable, Cairns has disappeared from Cathay's route map. So Cairns is not returning? Perhaps Qantas should launch CNS-HKG with A321XLR instead?

If my cat constantly sits in front of a portable gas heater (rinnai avenger 25 plus) will she get sick? It's one of the largest of the unflued gas heaters and I have a hard time moving her our of the heat stream but every now and then I think she's gone stupid.. so I am wondering if she is getting carbon monoxide poisoning or something... would that happen on a serviced appliance?
