Hi if the air intake pipe slightly moves out of connection due to holding clip snapped would this cause a loss of power and slight shuddering at motorway speeds

Hello all. I recently fixed a dodgy front wheel bearing (a right pain to loosen off 26 years of steel bolts to aluminium) and after torquing everything up I was unexpectedly left with about a 1" dead centre steering play - coincidence, bad luck, who knows? I've undone the track rod ends from the knuckles and cannot feel any play in the rack itself. I can't see/feel any play in the uj on the lower shaft, but if I get hold of the plastic covered area below the UJ I can move the steering... Steering play on a E39 6 cylinder - Any ideas

Can anyone help im experiencing a drop in power when cruising above 60mph just for a second or 2, almost like what you experiance when you fist start running out of fuel iv had it into garage and they replaced the inlet manifold as was failing but the problem still exists

Hi all I've recently taken on a 2005 E60 545i from my father, he has owned it for about 10 years as his weekend car. For at least the last 6 months when the car is warming up it goes through a phase where the blower motor and headlights pulse. Originally this was around 60-70c. After fitting a new battery (old one was over 10 yrs old) and registering it this window moved upwards to around 85-95 (this only took effect after registration not after battery change). I live in the uk. The past month or so, my 2016 520d’s navigation isn’t showing any traffic data on the map. No, traffic route highlighting or information about road closures and congestion. Weirdly, it worked fine in Europe (France and Belgium). But the moment I got back to the uk, traffic info is gone. Any ideas? I’ve never paid for a subscription or anything and I’ve had the car since 2019. This has only become a problem the past couple of months.

Hi All, I have just brought myself a 2017 5 series tourer, I have updated the maps and enabled car play. I installed the WiFi Arial, what can I do next? Can I flash my ID drive to iD 7? Or do I need to buy hardware to get full Android Auto? Also I would like to learn how to code the car to do silly things - I program PLC's so i am used to different coding ways, just not done BMW code yet Any help or suggestions great fully received.

Hello, I am after some advice. I have a genuinely fantastic 4series BMW (2016 430d M sport) with low mileage for the year (87,000). It has always been serviced at BMW in line with service recommendations, is in great condition but I am struggling to sell it for what i believe it is worth. Having lovingly looked after this car for 7years i really want it to go to a person who will continue to look after and enjoy it and not a dealer looking to make a quick buck. Hi All, just joined the forum seeking tyre advice for an X4 M40i. This is the first BMW I've owned and also the first with staggered wheel setup. I'm looking to put all season tyres on as I don't want the hassle of having to swap between summer and winter sets, it can get a little snowy during the winter here and I live on a relatively steep hill so I worry about the stock, Bridgestone Alenza's being able to cope in ice/snow.
